Using Stripe as Payment Processor

Have any of you used Stripe as your payment processor?

What is your feed back (good and bad) on your personal experience with Stripe?

I really like it.

I been using it and works perfect, is very good for mobile payments and accepts allot of credit cards.

On opposition than paypal takes the merchant side when people want their money back. And is up to us to decide if we give or not.

Well the fees are lower than paypal but still there and a important cost.

You guys keep saying Stripe is cheaper but looking at the pricing for both services the price is the same for me.

And...
You have to wait a week for Stripe to transfer your funds to your bank account where as I can have money from Paypal arrive in 2 days.

I pay much less for stripe than paypal, but is true that takes more time to arrive the money that isnt critical to us. We have a form of payment that takes 4 weeks to the money arrives that one is more problematic.

I haven't used it but took a peak at US pricing (probably CAN also). The rates are the same as PayPal for US customers. PP does have different rates for different countries so everyone is probably accurate.

I would say that any processor with a global reputation like Stripe and Paypal is good in general. The Challange is that is your business model or line of business considered good processors or not.

You should look at Prohibited industry list on the website of these Payment Processing companies.

In case if your industry is prohibited then you must not risk the business. You may have some high-risk processor interested in onboarding you with better rates.

I am sure that software seller, Webshosting, SEO, SMO, and internet marketing companies have many options available.

You can also add additional channels of processing like echeck or prepaid closed loop cards.

It is advisable to be away from those processors that list your business type on the prohibited list. If caught it may get reported to Match list and that means a complete lockdown for few years.

In case if your business type is not on the prohibited list then it is great to use Stripe. I know many merchants that are using it without any problems.

please note all those merchants that I know using stripe are low risk in nature.

All the best and happy processing.

Stripe has been brilliant for me. The ease of integration with most CMS frameworks is great. It's generally very developer friendly and keeps things simple.

i found stripe to be confusing to try add to our customer made site. i will try again this winter when work is much quieter, but it wasn't as simple as i'd have liked with a paste this and done sort of thing

what about stripe versus gocardless? both seem very similar, but also both seem focused on recurring payments, with the button i'm sure saying something like "set up direct debit" which links for one off payments too. this is no good for a customer who wants to pay a one off. maybe i can edit that but couldn't seem to find a way

Nowadays Stripe Payment gateway gaining much popularity. Integrating stripe can be well defined as a source of transfer or receive the payment online. It’s also allows MasterCard, Visa, American Express and so on.

As per my personal experience, Payment processor stripe is fast and secured. but high risk businesses like nutra, ****** listing, and tech support business need high risk processor for payment options.

Stripe seems quick and costs less in fees.

And the longer time for the transfer of money is not a major issue for most small/medium websites.
