Thank you! Yeah, we tend to have a few leaves down year round, especially in the pool area for some reason.

HDR is easy. How I found out how to do it was, first, I didn't know what it was until Lick told me. Then I went on the internet and looked up how to do it with my Nikon D50. Now I have to look up how to do it with the Nikon D3000. I got free software off the internet which is: qtpfsqui and I started to play with it. I also bought Photomatix.

Nice shots, everyone! I always admire photography. I myself has a collection of pictures. Though, I was always wondering, did you all do the finishing touch for your photographs, just like using a certain photo editing program or you just let your photographs as they really look like?

I think it depends on the pictures. Since I try to shoot what I feel (which doesn't always match what I see) I do mess with my shots, some more so than others. I use a variety of editors, but the one I use most often is Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3. I am trying to get used to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, but I still stumble around quite a bit in there.

Thanks... We had taken the Jeep up a trail to the mountains out by Silver City, Id for some target practice and ran into this kid wandering around by himself. We didn't know it, but his dad was asleep in his truck about a half mile away... it was sorta creepy. Anyway, the kid said he put his half eaten apple in the tree for the birds to eat... It looked like a fun shot... so I took it! =)

We have a leaf or two showing up around here now...

Exposure Time: 1/125 second
F Number: 7.1
Focal Length 210.mm
ISO Speed 400

I played in my editor to better clarify what my mind saw when I was capturing the shot. I have a bad habit of just pushing buttons until I like what I see.

I always find it hilarious how a stranger reacts when they catch me photographing them.
