Those are some big horns... is it the actual color of them or you edited it to make them look like that?

Have always wanted to take the "perfect" water droplets shots, and these represent the latest attempts. Random, because that's when I take them - at totally random, unplanned times. This time I happened to see a glass of water on the table, and the camera was in my same line of vision.... (Taken with my new Nikon D7000 by the way! :-) )

I use photography as a way to show others what I saw (inside) in a particular moment, how a moment made me feel. The camera doesn't always capture the exact feeling I experienced.

In this particular shot, it was bright and sunny out, but my focus was on the bull that was about to come around the corner.

When he suddenly filled my lens, stopped, and looked directly at me, the scene in front of me was suddenly very dark, and very intense, filling me with adrenaline, making me pray he would move on, yet at the same time hoping he would stay a moment longer.

In an attempt to recapture that moment, I used the editor to add lots of harsh shadows and over clarified the image. It comes close to matching that split second in time.

It might have been more prudent to show him your butt as you hopped over the fence and not your lens.

Great photo from you and several others.

Okay you guys and the mailman bringing a little bit of goodness into my life have inspired me. The shots don't get much more random than this. I do need to point out this is a dark and dreary day here. I may need an ark before it is over.

Shot with a new to me, manual focus 28mm macro lens on a digital body.

Both were shot wide open at f2.8 and 800 ISO and cropped to 25% of original image. Beer is at 1/125 and apple is at 1/30.

Frankly I can't wait to see what this lens does when it has some light to work with.

I actually bought 2 different ones over this past weekend and I think I am going to enjoy them both. Manual focus is not as bad as I initially thought. All I have to do is listen for the beep with this camera.

As I looked up high in the trees, I saw this lil birdhouse in the middle of nowhere. Something about it caught my eye, like a tiny log cabin in the middle of the woods...

The photographer and the birdhouse builder both did nice work. I would love to know how he/she did the curved roof.

There is a slot. After posting this, I found out it is a bat box. I had never even heard of those before!

I have. Bat box, bat house, not to be confused with bat cave. The slot seems a little large, but everything is reputed to be bigger in Texas.

around here they just live in the attics of older homes.
