This shot sure make me want to take a road trip to Colorado, Jon. It has been many years since I have seen the mountains. I think I had forgotten how majestic they can be.

The first one is actually two pictures put together... in one pic the moon came out really detailed and in the other the clouds showed up really well.

The second is my first lightening shot.

I've gotten a few decent lightening shots, but so far the first one has been the best.

Jon's on fire!

Night photo's are something I've never been able to do, I'll need to take some of these tips on board and try and produce something.

Wow! It was hard to caught a thunder in a camera how did you manage to
get them? Or maybe I was just the one who can't get a picture of them
since I was scared when it started to show at the sky Anyway, when I saw
Cricket's shot of the moon I suddenly felt jealous and wanting to buy a camera
and shoot one. Good thing there was a news today that there will be a meteor
shower in the peak of August 10 until August 12 or 14 (not quite sure of the news though).
How I wish I can take their photos

I have this old 4 megapixel Kodak camera, but I have it attached to my telescope... I'll try to dig some more stuff up.

Thanks for the compliment!

Julien,

Great shots! Slow shutter or timed? Do you recall you settings?

I haven't done any night stuff with digital. With iso100 film that would be at least a 30 second open shutter.
