Only in a household where your daughter had an awesome history of the 60's class are peace signs still found...

Yeah, not much beats the smell of bread...

I've been chasing Saturn around for two (cloudy) nights, with very disappointing/poor results.

But since the clock has run down... here's all I got for "Dark."
1. Joy √
2. Eye √
3. Wood √
4. Life √
5. Dark √
6. Water √
7. Pride √
8. Peace √
9. Bread √
10. Animals √
11. Random √
12. Weather √
13. Service √
14. Concrete √
15. Communication √

Six of the seven I owe the hunt

This has been a very tough month for me. Lots of work and lots of rain. I am herewith submitting 6 of the 7 entries I owe the hunt. Pride is the one I did not capture. These 6 are last minute shots taken today after work. Joy is not the one I intended to post but it does reflect my attitude here at the end of a long hard month.

Water is number 1. I took the picture and put it back in the fridge, not interested in that stuff. I wanted to concentrate on joy, #2 a frozen margarita.

Skeeter looked random to me after about half of that first glass that so he is #3.

After a few joys I was really thankful for an auto focus lens where I shot the sunset, weather of the only pretty day we had this week. The broken concrete in our driveway, concrete, which is yet another project I need to tackle, and the the retaining wall blocks which have been patiently waiting for me to place them in their new home. Those are life because I just have not had time to play for the 8 months they have been sitting there. Such is life!

To everyone who played the game, great job. To those who got all 15, outstanding.

alright, I know it's may 1st but I took these pics yesterday during my first climbing trip of the year.

entries are:
#pride: I went with a couple of experienced climbers and the first crack we climbed was a 5.8, which is not that easy. It was my first time climbing this year and I finished it. There is a tough overhang around a tree. A very tricky part of the climb and I passed it and when I reached the top, I was....proud
#peace:During climbing, I feel very at peace with myself because the only thing I am thinking about is the climb. I am focused on every move, listening to my body, looking at the shape of the rock and there is no room for extra thinking. Every problems, troubles, worries disappear for a moment of pure peace of mind.
#life: in the middle of a big hard rock, a tree managed to find its way through, work its root through the rock and come to life in a very unexpected spot.
#random: As my buddies are getting ready for the next climb in the back, I found this old rusty chain in the middle of the rock. I don't suggest to use it to back you up.

and the last entry missing: bread.

I wrote bread in baking powder, a key ingredient to a fluffy loaf of bread.

kinda lame but I ran out of inspiration for this one. Cricket, if you tell me that this picture inspired you, I'll call you little white liar

Strong finish Julien. Well 4 out 5 and I agree about the creative part for 5.

Just hope that you can explain all that white powder all over the place if the need arises.

Mystery Solved

Originally Posted by ScriptMan View Post
I must admit it has been an unusual month for me. Every picture seems to have a story. This one is no exception and it is really strange. I may have aliens living in my fish pond who are tying to communicate with the mother ship after dark.

Monday night and then again on Tuesday from dark until dawn there is this keeling sound coming from the pond. It repeats every 2-3 minutes for about 15-30 seconds each time. It might sound like electronic noise, a really bad ring tone or even the bearings going out in the sump pump on a rainy night. It was the last one that got me out of bed at 4 AM, down 2 flights of steps to basement on a rainy early Tuesday morning. The pump was fine; the sump pit wasn't even full. The freezer cycled on while I was there to assure me that all was fine in the basement.

I went upstairs and heard it again, opened the back door, turned on the deck light and went outside there was nothing but the sound of my shivering. Turned off the light, went back to bed and heard the darn noise till dawn.

Then on Tuesday night the noise all started again. Wednesday evening after mulling over the previous events of 2 sleepless nights, I decided enough was enough and rigged a 150 watt flood bulb to shine on the pond. Peaceful quiet sleep was what I enjoyed. I can afford a dime per night for perpetual light until these aliens or that horny toad goes somewhere else.

I give you a through the window glass shot, taken in full darkness, illuminated only by a 150 watt bulb my submission for communication. It is actually about a lack of communication, whether between aliens or toads I donít know or care. Quiet, peaceful sleep is what I care about.
I am pleased to report that the alien creature has been identified.

I have posted pictures and a solicitation for advice over in this thread: http://www.v7n.com/forums/forum-lobb...ml#post1653051

Thank you - I work the best under deadline

I vacuumed the white powder and threw away the vacuum. You never know

Just got back from a few days away with a couple more or so photos, probably too late but will post them anyway!

1. ANIMAL a Jacob sheep, that's sure toloose with what Texans think about sheep!

2. SERVICE This is a dinner service from an Tudor mansion

3. Or how about SERVICE as in the servantys of those old Tudor houses like this dress up of a lady making drop scones. They were tasty too!

4. PRIDE. And cute too, obviously her pride and joy.

All taken near Stratford on Avon, the birth place of one William Shakespeare.
