Photo Challenge: One Photo A Day
This thread is for those people who are participating in our photo challenge to take at least one photo a day for 30 days.
Instructions for this challenge can be found on the V7N Tech Blog
http://tech.v7n.com/2011/08/08/photo...e-photo-a-day/
In this thread we can post our images (or links to our images) along with our comments.
This is also a great place to comment on the images of others and to offer support and encouragement.

Ok, I'm taking the plunge!
I am SO not a photographer! However, I'm accepting the challenge to take a picture a day for 30 days because I think it will make me stop and smell the roses once in a while

Cricket, how do I embed a photo in my post?

Taking the plunge: redux
I have a very large groundhog that likes to eat anything I put at his level, so I raise a few vegetables in pots on my deck. We love spicy food, so I planted some jalapeno peppers earlier in the summer. I hadn't paid much attention to them until tonight...and harvested more jalapenos than I know what to do with!

Great peppers NHevergreen!
I know better than to try to participate in this. I have spread myself so thin lately. But I will still try when I can.
Cooling off with friends.

Thank you, TxPam! Your furry friends look like they're having a wonderful time! We have a black lab who won't go in the water willingingly...

It could be because the original is very large, or it could be you didn't notice the 2nd half of instructions in that thread.

Eagle Lake, Maine
My husband, daughter, and I recently spent a lovely vacation at Fish River Lodge in Eagle Lake, Maine. We joined my sister and her husband for a week of relaxation, laughs, LOTS of good food, and even managed to catch one fish...amongst the 5 of us While the rest of the Northeast was sweltering under record-breaking heat, we were quite comfortable with temps in the high 70s/low 80s. I read many books (LOVE my Kindle!) and completely put my hectic, stressful job out of my mind. Mother Nature rewarded us with beautiful sunsets and beautiful moonlit nights. Fortunately my sister brought a tripod with her, letting me capture this photo of the moon rising over Eagle Lake.

Day #1:
This drought is definitely making hard to get pictures of pretty flowers...

Day 1 - A marigold from my garden. So far I've grown a bumper crop of leaves, plants and flowers, but not much in veggies.

Ugh! I can't even imagine what it's like to live with 100+ degree temps for days on end!

Dancing In the Wind
Day 2: I tiptoed out to see if I could capture a deer at the feeder this evening. Naturally, when you are there they aren't there so I began wandering and noticed the evening sun filtering through the trees and illuminating things in lovely ways. Definitely the peaceful break I needed.
