Why are you laughing your a$$ off over the short length of our history? I would think that gun death figures that fukn' high in such a short history would be even less reason to laugh.
Tell you what, I highly doubt you'd be laughing if I stuck your ass in the middle of one of our ghettos where this sh!t is happening daily.

I think all he meant was that our "violent past" is not a good excuse.

Im not laughing at the short history, I'm laughing at the fact they blamed the high gun deaths on Americas 'bloody history'. They said that America has a more volent history than other countries. But that's not true. Other countries have a much more violent history, yet their citizens don't shoot hundreds of each other daily. The violent pasts have nothing to do with gun crime. Look at Canada, 7 million guns in 10 million homes. A gun loving nation of hunters. But they only have a few of shootings in the cities every year, nowhere near the scale of America.

I'm sorry, I just don't think I've ever heard a more poorly founded connection attempted.
Blacks also couldn't use white-only bathrooms at that time. Are bathrooms now the new KKK as well? It was 1871, most of society was segregated at the time. The NRA's mission statement is now and has always been totally focused on the 2nd amendment.
If you don't like the NRA that's fine, but to make the statement that it was a replacement of the KKK? Aside from the idea that the KKK was made illegal* and the NRA was formed the same year, I'm really curious to what connections there are aside from the NRA having the same anti-black membership that was common to many organizations at the time.
*(I don't have enough information to comment on that but as far as I know they're still around and are able to request and receive permits to protest)

Well maybe then the NRA is the reason why Americans kill each other more than any other country. They see themelves as some sort of cult, with their "From My Cold Dead Hands" moto, promoting gun use to everyone. Maybe the next president should get them shut down. Would do alot of good to that place. Take your neighbour Canadas example. They know how to run a country, Be like them.

KKK connection can be debated. Some say the KKK were declared illegal, and so they set up the NRA, which had alot of KKK members in it, and no black members. Others say that they are completely unrelated. You cant go back to the past and spy on the founders, so we do not know. I just think don't promote guns as much over there.

Then you simply misunderstood them.
Think that might be possible in this case?

"heals the world"
You mean destroys the world, > No, I think she meant heals, but not exclusively, nor the world in a literal sense. the only large industrial country not to sign up to Kyoto Protocol... > So what? This statement carries no weight at all, IMO. The country who bombs red cross buildings "mistaking" them to be weapons factories. > Yes, have you or your country ever made mistakes? And the way you are phrasing this makes it sound like we do this routinely and purposely ??? Yeah, great healing.. > No, I think she was referring to the actual healing, not bombing mistakes.
"liberated the world"
The UK did alot more liberation than the USA during the great war > I do not believe that she meant 'exclusively' liberated the world, nor the world in a literal sense.

And she also said "The Immortals work tirelessly in the pursuit of freedom for the world and America is their main avenue for advancing civilization into a global community of free peoples."
She tried to make out that America is the centre of the world, the one thing that can "advance civilisation", which is ridiculous.

Bill O'reilly said the Europeans are up to no good and they are not willing to submit to America's moral authority and America's destiny to provide the world with a plan for true democracy and justice for all.
And most importantly, the Europeans suck because they don't let the Israeli people, who were chosen by god, run their countries. they will pay dearly for that stupidity.
What's more, American words are better than European words because American words have a built-in moral superiority. in fact, everything that is American is better than anything else in the world because Americans have god's blessings.
And Reagan and Clinton and Bush are all great presidents because they understood that making wars is the only way to have a peaceful world. The Europeans are far too stupid to have wars for peace. Only Israel and America can make the world a more peaceful place and live happilly thereafter. > Who gives a flyin' fuk what Bill O'reilly said? C'mon, man.
