Mike moores flick wasnt broadcast for free on 72 TV stations. Is there anything wrong with companies that own tv stations using those stations to promote their political views? no, but there is something wrong with calling it news.

I agree, news should be as neutral as possible, there are many alternatives to broadcast opinions, those companies can air talkshows and stuff. For me personally I find it non ethical, whoever is guilthy of doing it or whatever their goal is or political view. It's manipulation and not ok in my book.

The basic principles of socialism are Gov't control of business of business and a strong wealth redistribution system. The US Gov't is doing both pretty aggressively, especially the wealth redistibution part.

I don't know much about how the economy worked in Nazi germany so maybe America is more socialist than them. But compared to the rest of the world, America seems to me is a prime example of a country thats pretty close to 'laissez faire' style of free market capitalism.
