j/k w/u ..

I agree that it's very hard for many to leave God out. Easy for some. (don't quite understand the latter but, I try and respect it)

Whenever my thoughts start boiling on just about anything, they boil down to God.

Ok and I will admit that maybe I am being self rightesous posting all this. But when I see all these crasy liberals running around posting stuff thats totally wrong. Makey me really mad. It sure doesnt make me wanna go awall hmmm.

Your exactly right Atom. I think everyone should be the same way unless something is really wrong.

When your laying in your bed at night and everything is all mixed up I truly wonder if people dont think about that more often. No matter what situation there in or type of person they are.

haha ya don't know who Charlton Heston is? One of the great actors of all time, he had one of the greatest performances ever as Moses in The Ten Commandments. Great movie.

This is where you start to lose people, with your self righteous over the top religious zealotness (is that even a word?). I can't believe that you would put "I think everyone should be the same way unlesss something is really wrong", that is just so baffling that I had to read it 4 times before I believed that you would write that.

This may shock you, in fact I know you don't believe it. But there are people, who live a good and moral life, without gods (or God). He isn't the answer to everything, and to a lot of people, he isn't the answer to anything.

So you can have your beliefs and thats cool, but to go around saying that other people aren't 'right' if they don't believe what you do is unreal, and also fairly rude.

I like where you are coming from docquesting, I can see an honest believe in god in your posts, but sometimes I think your delivery is lacking.

For instance, I think "most" people will agree that you can't prove the existance of god, but that doesn't mean it isn't important to believe in god. Arguements get bogged down when people just start saying things like "well god exists and if you dont believe it you are going to hell". Because you can't argue with someones faith like that. But you can open a discussion about why god is important to you and why he isn't important to other people. Not only will it help people understand (and even agree) with your point of view, but it will help you understand other peoples.

There is a really good book "Can we be good without god?" (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...875320-5736715) that discusses all aspects of god and why we he is important to people and how people don't believe in god are still able to believe the same things. It would be worth buying or atleast checking out of a library.

Many of your posts seem to make a lot of sense to me and I agree with much of their content, but I feel that I must respectfully disagree with this one statement. And I will even go so far as to say that He is, to make it easier for you to disagree with me also, if you wish.

I don't think I really had to, though, he's a pretty intelligent guy. I just thought I'd throw it up here for something to chew on.

Ya i would have to disagree with that. I do believe that 'a god' can be the answer to everything. But to say that God (as in the christian god) is the answer to everything is incorrect I believe. For the people who have a different god or sets of gods then the christian god, they receive answers just as correct (for them) as anyone does from the christian god.

It's just different sides of the same mountain, there is more then one path to the top, the important thing is that you are always climbing.

[edit: some spelling issues]

You lost me on that one, I am not sure what you mean or are refering to specifically. Or is it just a general comment that belief and fact can't be one? I would agree with that, as long as we outline what we are describing as a 'fact' in this case.
