Oh, the transcript, right.... let's talk about the transcript.
Yeah, why do you suppose he didn't jump right up and out the door of that classroom? Didn't he know he was being filmed?

That baby was in the first trimester, I have my doubts about that. Do you have a source for that picture?

Leadership requires a cool head. For the Commander to become panicked would be a mistake. He kept his head and handled it exactly as he should have.
We've had a lot of friendly debate about Dems and Republicans over the past few weeks, but I'm literally stunned at some of the responses on this topic. A murdering terrorist sends a tape "calling out" to the American people to turn from the president, and some here actually give it a view of respect?

Depending on the circumstance, you can abort up till immediately before birth.

Who cares? A debate about the law is pointless, it really is, the law is not the issue at all, though I'm sure you'd like to make it the issue. Correct me if I'm wrong.

He didn't want to cause a scene, he was enjoying the book so much he wanted to finish it, he hadn't come up with a plan yet, he was thinking about how he had left the stove on at home?
He says it's #1, but I think its probably one of the other 3. If you aren't able to quickly leave a situation without looking panicked, then you aren't meant to be President. I believe a simple "thank you for your time but I must leave early to attend to some business", then shaken some hands, patted some heads quickly and walked out would have worked. But just sitting there like he had just **** his pants for 5 minutes, thats a bit much.

You need to get a check on your anger issues. Sounds like you've gone past disgust into blind hate. That's bad for you.

Why? It's not like his leaving earlier or later is going to change anything. He isn't the only person attending to national security.

I would like to move off abortion and talk about the transcript. But to answer yours and Johns comments, when debating whether abortions should be legal or not then talking about the law is rather important. Otherwise it just becomes a religious debate, and religion and debating do not go hand and hand.

Well that's what I figured too, but If he had jumped up and out the door, the suspicious would simply have suspected him of play acting or the like, I'm sure.
TBH, he looked like he was grappling with a bit of shock, to me, and trying not to react purposely to maintain composure. And I am completely unbiased here about this presidential sh!t.

Anger issues, what part of that statement had any anger in it? I was just stating that I do not think he handled it correctly and I outlined what I thought he should have done. I do not hate the president, I think he is a religious zealot with the inteligence of a 12 year old, so at the most I feel bad for him, but I hardly hate him.

I agree that he looked shocked, which I don't blame him for. But there is middle ground between sitting there for 10/15 minutes after he heard about the second plane hitting and jumping up and running out the door. No one thought he should have just bailed like he had left his car lights on, but he could have left in a bit more timely manner.

Explain which part of that is hate, please because I don't see it. But that right there explains the difference between you and me. I can dislike someones personality, beliefs and ethics, without disliking or hating that person.

The way you express yourself when talking about Bush is indicitive of a highly emotional (hateful) state of mind. You can deny it all you want, but your choice of words gives you away.

Look at your posts. I don't agree with much that you say, but you say it in a clear, well thought out, intelligent manner. When you speak of Bush you loose your composure and begin silly name calling. Hate does that to people.
**edit** Sorry, we said basically the same thing but I posted before yours came up.

Yes but, really, Rivux, the intelligence of a 12 year old?
Nope.... no hate there..
