Simply, they're the least informative and accurate "news" network out there.

I am really sick of you talking about the people of the United States as a whole. Just because Bush won, there were tons of other people that wanted things to change. If you look at the results it was a pretty damn close race it's not like the Entire United States only voted for Bush. Me personally I voted for Kerry For tons of reasons. And, I also Liked a few things that Bush Has done, But I totally agree with the Stem cell research and with Bush that will not happen, I like the Idea of Lower gas prices.. etc...but seriously, that is all you can do is Bash the US. Very Arrogant.... That says a lot about people in the Netherlands. You must all be like that

Since you seem pleased with your ignorance, and I doubt you'll click the link, here's some snippets for you. Emphasis all mine.

the frequency of these misperceptions varies significantly according to individuals’ primary source of news. Those who primarily watch Fox News are significantly more likely to have misperceptions, while those who primarily listen to NPR or watch PBS are significantly less likely.

48% incorrectly believed that evidence of links between Iraq and al Qaeda have been found, 22% that weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq, and 25% that world public opinion favored the US going to war with Iraq. Overall 60% had at least one of these three misperceptions.

While it would seem that misperceptions are derived from a failure to pay attention to the news, in fact, overall, those who pay greater attention to the news are no less likely to have misperceptions. Among those who primarily watch Fox, those who pay more attention are more likely to have misperceptions.

My reply is based on my experience in discussing this type of thing with someone who makes a statement like "the media is a wing of the RNC". When Peter Jennings in 2000 first (accidently) called Florida for Gore he actually laughed out loud on the air. Dan Rather has so biased his reporting for the Dems that he's taken national heat for it.
I watch most reputable news channels and draw my own conclusions from the various reports. I think that putting all your faith in a single outlet is irresponsible. Yes, Fox has a more conserevative lean. CNN, CBS (I won't even get into ABC) have more liberal lean.
I read you link. Surely your sharp enough to realize that most of these types of things usually have a pre-determined outcome to support the original beleifs of the researchers. It proves nothing.

The point wasn't where you get your news, the point was that FOX viewers are severly misinformed on issues that benefit the president. They're a partisan hack station. O'Reilly, Hannity, Hume... total hacks who are constantly outright lying to further the Republican program. Then the "news" that goes on to support those lies.
It's the furthest thing from a news station, plain and simple.

And my point was that your point was poorly founded.
Kerry concedes....America wins. That should about wrap it up.

It's not about numbers, or lies, or being liberal or not. The point is that it is strange that someone, even a conservative, would really wants to watch FOX, and then report what was said by the FOX people - unless as a part of a joke of course.
FOX is simply a ridiculous organization that has nothing to do with reporting. It's a right wing propaganda machine, just like communist TV stations were communist propaganda machines. To me it seems that people who watch FOX do not look for news, but want someone to confirm their pre-existing views.

I watch FOX news only because that is the only station I watch for TV shows. I get to lazy to change the channel so I just watch it. I don't really care too much what they say, I just watch it for more "local" news, like what's going on in NY and NJ, but I don't pay too much attention. I go online and read the "world" and "US" news.

That's probably wise. Get as many news sources as you can. Journalists are supposed to be unbiased but they're humans so that's not really possible.
Fox is as good a news source as any regardless of what some post here. Bush doesn't cater to thier point of view so he's "an idiot with the brain of a 12 year old" Fox doesn't cater to their point of view so it's a RNC propaganda machine" and not a real news source.
I'm just as guilty for calling other media a "liberal playhouse" for not catering to my views.

like it not fox is more entertaining and more sensational then regular news
that is why so many people (including me) watch it
most news is biased in some way but fox takes the cake, it like business to them. They systematically push the conservative view point, but its a free country so .....
fox is a the al jezzera of america

That quote about the intelligence of a 12 year old was a joke, so unless you plan on quoting other comedians to defend your positions, I suggest you leave it alone.
As for the election, congratulations to Bush and the republicans, you got full control of the house and senate, it will be a productive 4 years for you guys.
