That is just too scary for me to even imagine.

I really wish the truth would come out about this. I'm pretty sure it wont...at least not "officially".

I wonder how I would feel had I lost someone in the attacks.

That's true, AWAC'S can make use of Electro Magnetic Pulsing to disable a target aircrafts flight controls, then make use of a remote flight control system

I know people whose friends and family were killed on 911 ...some of them fearing more attacks are imminent have left the United States to live elsewhere.

Yeah, well we're not exactly making friends throughout the world. And the future (politically) doesn't look good.
