Every side does it, it's not just one. Just another reason why internet debates are worthless.

I can a 15 year old smarter than you and a 80 year old dumber than you. Age is merely a number.

I fail to agree with that bro, of course there are kids that are a bit more mature 'for their age' but "for their age" says it all.

That's fine "bro", but send me a "pm" if you're "interested" in "seeing child geniuses" to which I'll "reply to" when I "get home"

I am just referring to what I've seen here on these forums and tried to take notice.
I would imagine it is more the supporters of those being criticized than it being a partisan thing.
My point being, why post unless you have some kind of intelligent rebuttle? Unless it's a witty gem like some of your asides, Bri.
edit: I enjoy any debates, internet or otherwise.

I just reply for the fun factor I think I've made clear over the years I really don't like debates online, I find them very hard to take serious. I know some people find my replies idiotic, but I'll live. The one thing I don't like is being called "less intelligent" than someone for being younger. I've sat here for 3+ years keeping my mouth shut while I've been degraded, figured I'd finally say something.

We are talking about normal everyday people, Brian, not people with mental medical conditions and people in comas. If you find a normal 80 year old person with no wisdom, then they've lost it via a medical condition.
What I say to you is not conjecture, there really is something that happens with everyone as they accumulate knowledge, just simple everyday knowledge year after year. We call it wisdom. It's nothing really all that special because of the fact that it does happen to everyone, and you will know just what I mean when you get up in age. It is not gained without the passage of time and the accumulation of experiences. Trust me on this, Brian.

I know what wisdom is as well as medical conditions. I wasn't referring to someone with any medical conditions.

I hope you know I was being serious about your wit, Brian. I also think Ferre was generalizing. You, sir, are much wiser than your years.

Well, thankyou Ferre. I suppose I should have told you this sooner, but for the last three years I've felt like you've considered me unintelligent for being young. It has been a pent up issue of mine, so I'm glad it's finally cleared up.

Ok, tell me then, who is an 80 year old person that you know that is without wisdom and it is not due to a medical condition.

My grandfather. Married for 51 years. 12 kids and 15 grandchildren. Got in a fight with his wife (my grandma) about 5 years ago, got in his car, and hasn't been seen since.
He has no medical conditions except for arthritis and he's had enough experiences to gain wisdom (veteran of multiple wars, the number of children, etc), yet he turned his back on that wisdom and did something extremely unwise and rather hurtful.

It's ok, I've come to terms. I wish he was around to see me graduate friday, but it's something I have to deal with. Something to give me wisdom!
