What are your views on Gay Marriage?

Easy Question. What are your views on gay marriage?

I think it's fine, but I don't agree with them being able to adopt children.

I would however be concerned if the Church itself conducted gay marriages though.

United Church of Canada are advocates for same sex marriage. The are also very mainstream.

If people want to marry, that's their problem. I don't care if they are gay or not. Sick either way.

But adopting children, that's a difficult issue.

Adopting children is great, but I don't believe in raising them in a double sex house. I think there needs to be a mother and father figure.

I'm not sure how I feel about them adopting. But...What about a single parent household though? Obviously there's someone out there who created the child, but they aren't always in the picture. Double parent household argument doesn't hold up these days.

I hate seeing single family household. I'm sure that they can be great parents, but having 2 moms or 2 dads is almost as bad as having 1 parent. You can't act the other part, regardless.

These are not my words, but kind of an interesting point:

I don't care about gay marriage, no one forces me to marry a gay dude so what would I care anyway, it's none of my busyness to judge on that. On the adoption issue, for all I know is every single adoption handled with some sort of judgement system in place and if a couple of gay people are found capable of parenting a child they have my blessing, the newspapers are full of people who got arrested for abusing their own kids while no one judges them before they get their kids, at least children who are being adopted get parents who went to some sort of screening and again, I don't mind what sexual preferences they have, what's important is their parenting.

I think homosexuality is a bad choice and government recognition of it is bad policy, but in the US it should be a state to state issue with no federal position.
