Oh boy, let's not turn this into Ho psychoanalysis 101. They all have daddy issues and chances are had some kind of sexual abuse in their youth as well. We're getting away from the issue.
Even if they do it for drugs or money, how does that affect whether it should be legal or not?

Why are we so obsessed with imposing our opinions on others to the point of making them criminals.
If no one breaks an existing law (don't we have enough?) why make more?
Lawmakers should have to play the game like poker - if you draw, you gotta throw away too.
How about education, debate, discussion, and otherwise dealing with real issues instead of passing laws about the emotionally charged ones?
Like, equality and justice for women, instead of telling them what they can and can't do with their bodies?
imho

the issue of "the reason why" comes from people saying that the job, even if legal, causes people to be kidnapped and forced into this type of life.

Exactly, the main thing is that they do their job right, with passion and dedication.

I know someone like that. She does it for the money, and she is very picky about her clients. She's much too in love with the money, and I think that's the only reason she does it. This girl won't even touch cigarrettes, and is certainly not supporting a crack habit.

I was propositioned by a Thai lady-boy once. I couldn't possibly guess the motives but shim was very giggly.

Living round the corner from the red light district I have met, and know, numerous prostitutes. Down here it's a legal profession wich means that they have to confirm to laws made specially for the trade, just as many other bysynesses have laws designed to protect the consumers.
I have noticed that most women who work as prostitutes down here love money and also love sex, you don't find many prostitutes who have drugs problems down here, drug problems show and men in general don't pay for a crackhead when they can get a fresh-looking model-like girl for their money at the next door.
I remember when it was still illegal and those days pimps and criminals ruled the red light district, this has changed for the better now.
People who think that making prostitution illegal solves problems for society should think about the problems that it causes to push a million dollar busyness underground and into the hands of criminals.

Instead of junior members, all new v7n'ers should be called lady-boys. That is hilarious. :rofl

yes it should
People are not going to stop having sex, and for a variety of reasons it is convenient to pay for it. We might as well legalize it and clean it up. In countries where it is legal there has not been a uge moral decay.

Prostitution in Nevada is kinda creepy because there's always people flicking those damn cards at you. And you see them in washrooms all the time.
And the trucks with ads driving down the street.
CREEPY.

I haven't been to Vegas in over 20 years but I don't remember what you're talking about. But isn't prostitution illegal in Las Vegas?

It should be a fixed price. $2.50 (USD)
Just kidding, it should be illegal.
