Not at all in the entire muslim world. Egypt is pretty modern and democratic and they don't do that sort of thing there, also not in Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Turkey and so on, they also didn't do that under Saddam, under saddam political opponents where killed but that's not a religious issue.

Only in Iran and a few other countries they have those strict (and to me and most others, insane) laws and cut off hands and such but fact is that the huge majority of countries with a muslim majority doesn't want that sort of fanatism in their laws, fact is that many muslim countries already abandoned strict and cruel laws decades ago and fact is that most of the muslim world is reforming into a more democratic system since the past 30 years.

Don't judge an entire basket full of apples because of a few bad ones.

We must stop generalizing all muslims as crazy and primitive fanatics who want to kill us and we really must stop to demonize them all, that's just wrong.

I think there is a better way to fight it. Not by demonizing the entire muslim population but by showing them we are ok people and they are too and that we need to fight hunger and poverty instead of eachother.

Terrorists are criminals and should be treated as such but those who have nothing to do with terrorism shouldn't be demionized only for having the same god.

Respect human life. Is that too much to ask?

Respect innocent Palestinian farmers and help them recover from the past 40 years of demolition instead of making it impossible for them to grow their crop?

Doing things that gain the respect from the world instead of acting like a madman and bombing everything they fear?

Imagine that the US and Israel would have used a fraction of the money they used to bomb civillians, imaige they would have used that for humanitary aid, schooling, medical care and such in Palestine and Lebanon, this would have gained sympathy even amongst their biggest enemies and it would have triggered a discussion in the Arab world between the fanatics and those who SEE that Israel and the USA mean well.

Dropping food and humanitary aid instead of bombs?

They could make the same effort they are making now on propaganda to make them look good to actually do things that make them look good.

Actions speak louder than words. Aid gaines more sympathy than bombs.

And that's only a tiny bit if the disturbing truth.

Once we accept the fact that we have been interfering in the Muslim world in such a manner that it has not only devided them but has created a hatred towards us, we can work on gaining their sympathy in order to get mutual understanding and peace, truth is that we have behaved very bad in that region the past centuries.

We can't expect people to respect us when we treat them like dirt, it doesn't work that way.

The US does give humanitarian AID to Palestinians, so you might want to wad that theory up and smoke it.
