Since Will's profile indicates he is from Australia, I decided to see if I could find anything doing a quick search on Google. I believe I may have found the source of confusion in that Australian law appears to use the term human being in a different manner than most of us might.
They appear to use it in a similar manner to how many countries would use the term viable. However, they don't seem to clearly indicate this either.
Someone could misread this as saying that an unborn baby is not of the human species.

Further uncertainty is introduced by section 165 of the Tasmanian Criminal Code, which additionally prohibits causing the death of 'a child who has not become a human being in such a manner that he would have been guilty of murder if such child had been born alive', unless the death is caused by 'means employed in good faith for the preservation of its mother's life. http://www.aph.gov.au/library/pubs/RP/1998-99/99rp01.htm

There are no statutory or judicial interpretations of the meaning of 'a child who has not become a human being', and hence no guidance as to at what stage of pregnancy a foetus would be protected by this section. Arguably section 165 might apply at any stage of pregnancy, in which case this provision might be better described as forming part of the Tasmanian law that establishes the crime of unlawful abortion http://www.aph.gov.au/library/pubs/RP/1998-99/99rp01.htm
P.S. Next time you get to do your own research to back up what you are debating Will.

Thanks cricket. I'm in search of the legal time into the pregnancy when the baby is from a fetus to a human. Or what ever you want to call it.
In the time you spent in this thread arguing instead of debating you could have looked up this information literally hundreds of times Will.
I typed om Australia Abortion into Google. The second listing said Abortion Law in Australia. I clicked on it and then from the browser window selected find on this page and entered the term human.
Total time involved? About 45 seconds...
Respectfully, if you want to participate in a debate, you must be willing you back up things that you present as fact, or you should NOT be involved in the debate at all.
There's 2 threads about this going. It's hard to keep up with both.
Respectfully, my point remains that you may want to seriously consider spending some time understanding how to debate or not participate in the debate threads at all.
Actually my reason for asking your age was to determine what level you are at in your debate training. A quick peek in Google for information about Australian debate shows that debate is indeed started very early in Australia.
However, it also showed me that you are well aware of the importance of any debate including matter, which is a fancy way of saying, be prepared to back up your argument with evidence.
So my respectful recommendation to you still stands.

Matter is the category that assesses the content of a speaker's speech which includes the arguments and evidence that they present to support his/her team's side of the topic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debate#...-Asia_debating
I know what matter is, I normally get around 37-39
Here, you did not get a single point for it.
If you know how to debate, then use those skills in these threads. If you do not have time to provide matter, then I highly recommend staying out of those threads until you do.
Respectfully, you are going around in circles again and I am not willing to play that game with you again, so I will not respond further concerning what I have said.

It's a lost cause. He either knows how to debate and refuses to, or he doesn't know how and refuses to learn.
