Why ? The woman has to : bring the baby up or pay child support. The mother has to have the baby growing inside her. She also has to give birth.

Forgive me for responding to my own post, but the more I thought about this the more it did not seem to add up.
As you already know I am 100% against abortion under any circumstances, so this is purely for discuss sake.
Legally, in the Unites States a woman can choose to have an abortion simply because she feels that she cannot financially afford to care for the child. Essentially she can choose to opt out of supporting the child financially.
The father does not have that option. He has no part legally in the decision. If she chooses to have the child he is LEGALLY OBLIGATED BY LAW to support the child. Of course I agree that he should share in financially supporting the child, but something doesn't equate for me here.
She can legally opt out - he can't.

I'm not tryiing to start a argument, but if the husband gets more rights then the wife. He can rape her, then make her have the baby.

Bottom line is that she could claim this happened, whether he did or didn't so we are still in the same boat.
Besides, why would any person want a baby with someone that definately doesn't and would rather have an abortion?
The man would be fighting a losing battle and will probably end up divorced and resented.

It's not. But I can see what I did wrong.
I'm not tryiing to start a argument, but if the husband gets more rights then the wife. He can rape her, then make her have the baby.
I'm not trying to start an argument, but if the husband gets more rights then the wife. He can rape her, then make her have the baby.
I thought my English was good.

Still doesn't make sense. But I don't think English is your only problem there.
Your statements create confusion and more questions than they answer.

It wasn't a well thought out comment on my part. I only meant that something doesn't seem to add up and perhaps if he has no legal way to choose to opt out of supporting the child that perhaps she should not have abortion available to her as an option to opt out of supporting the child either.
I don't buy the argument that adoption isn't a viable alternative to abortion, as it is not newborns spending years in foster homes. Generally speaking, I believe that there are thought to be far more parents looking to adopt a newborn than there are newborns available.

Cricket was talking about how the mother has more legal rights then the baby. So I made a statement.

"She can legally opt out - he can't."
You don't think that's implying the woman has more rights then the man ?

Cricket, watching anybody (myself included) trying to have an intelligent discussion with Will is like watching a comedy routine.
