There are over 350 million people in America. You cant get an accurate assesment of "How we feel" unless you talk to all of us, not just the 20 or so on this thread.
We don't always agree with our politicians, but we support them, and the ones that really screw up we vote them out, or vote against their party.
America isn't perfect, no country is, but we have saved a lot of peoples asses in the last 100 years, when most of the world turned away, or put their head in the sand. Of course most of it is economics, some of it is humanitarian, and unfortunatly when you are in that positions, sometimes you screw up.
A lot of countries have benefited from Americas actions, only to turn around and bad mouth us when the chips are down.
If a terrorists group had flown planes into the Eiffel Tower , or Buckingham Palace, we might see a different reaction. The World Trade Center housed financial corporations from all over the world. It was a strike against the World Financial Market, not just us. Sadaam and various other leaders housed and supported them all at one time or another. He paid the families of Palestinian Suicide Bombers $10,000 USD after a successful mission was carried out to kill innocent civilians. (US dollars)
Everybody hates us when it gets tough, but they never stop coming in, sneaking in, buying products, sending their children to our Universities, and participating in our economy, when its beneficial to them.
Its a slap in the face and very hypocratic, to see and hear the backlash from people about the U.S. while they are wearing Nike shoes, using and making money on a computer run by Microsoft Software, with MTV, CNN, or any number of 1000's of american artists music playing in the background.
It's amazing to see people and countries reap the benefits of the United States, but jump the band wagon when things don't go right.
Ask Japan where they would be today if we hadn't led the charge into Kawait. They get get 98% of their oil from that country alone.
So the next time anyone wants to bash, look around your home or apartment, your bank account, and the political climate and your safe military alliance, and tell me that you have not benefited from economy, technology, and freedoms, of the United States Of America in any way shape or form, and you might have a leg to stand on.
