Yeah, and that's why the Iraq invasion was first labeled Operation Iraqi Liberation, untill the US administration changed that because it was waaayyy tooo obvious.

I don't think he needs to worry as much about Fox as he does Hillary. I'm sure she has friends in high places at all the networks that will do her dirty work.

Maybe if Iraq was #1 importer...maybe...but #6...come on...find another excuse.

5 much better places? Like what exactly? You do realize that the cost/benefit analysis has to be done right? So what are your 5 better places?

5 better places to invade on oil alone:
  1. CANADA
  2. MEXICO
  3. SAUDI ARABIA
  4. VENEZUELA
  5. NIGERIA
589 thousands barrels is such a small amount when compared to these other players.

You realize of course that the US Army protecting the Oil Ministry during the invasion and the current contract by the US for oil companies in Iraq (the most generous to oil companies in the history of the oil industry) mitigate against your point right? Furthermore you are looking at CURRENT IMPORTS. Iraq has the 2nd largest proven reserves of oil on the planet. Invading Saudi Arabia would prove far too upsetting to Muslims but Iraq is another story.

Dude, who cares if they have the largest reserves? We aren't setting up shop and building houses there so American's can come over and take over the country.

The current imports are exactly what they are, current. Theorizing 'future' plans to drain those reserves are so far fetched.

If we wanted to take their oil, they would be the #1 importer.

Iraq is 97% Muslim by the way...

Far fetched? Dude WTF are you smoking those are PROVEN reserves - not unexplored fields. You don't know anything about the oil industry and it shows.

Saudi Arabi is home to Mecca - the holiest city in Islam. You invade Saudi Arabia, you really do have 1 billion Muslims wanting to fight you.

Not setting up shop? Those 14 permanent military bases set up in Iraq say otherwise. Sitting on top the worlds second largest proven reserves means they can substantially affect the market price of a barrel of sweet crude.

I took a look at the other articles on the site and I refuse to read liberal articles.

"Global Research" is actually leftist opinions.

Such articles as "Bush Must Go: Only Impeachment Can Stop Him" and bringing up Cindy Sheehan on any news site for support...

Nice try.

Nick, you are a champion of taking ignorance to levels that have not been exploited yet. You deserve a place in the Guinness record book for that. Seriously.

Besides that fact that no matter how much facts people show you, you just don't WANT to know the truth.

You should edit out the word 'your' in your signature.

It should read like this:

Did anyone tell you that you are a comedian?

Ferre, the 'facts' you post are one sided and opinions. Links to liberal reports do nothing for me.

FYI: fact - We invaded Iraq. Opinion - We invaded Iraq for oil.

Maybe you can't see that because of mental fog...I don't know really

I'm glad you criticize me constantly because I don't listen to your crap. It's quite funny.

So what is the difference between Sunni and Shia? Do you know?

How about The New Republic - they were for the war.

What does have anything to do with the debate of oil?

And to answer you question: Yes, Why?

If you had read the article you would know since it's about oil. Once again what's the difference between Sunni and Shia? And which is the majority group in Iraq and which is the larger Islamic faction in the world? If you actually know the difference this are quick answers but you haven't even bothered to wander over to Wikipedia to find out. Just trying to gauge your level of knowledge which is incredibly lacking.
