I wonder if this came from the same folks who told him about the WMD's?

I've heard that these suspicions were brewing for over a year, but they only chose now to make those suspicions public. Proving that the Iranian government ordered, or was directly involved in, weapons distribution remains difficult to prove without espionage or a confession from Tehran. They supposedly have serial numbers that prove the weapons were not carry-overs from the Saddam regime and other indirect evidence. The administration carries a far heavier - neutron star heavy - burden of proof this time. From a strategic and credibility standpoint they should have chosen someone other than Bush to make this announcement.

But the big question: what do these accusations entail? Why now?

Remember Powell with his slideshow of military photos of the WMD's to the UN? I don't believe a single thing Bush says he's SURE of.

Wonder if there are any stop off points with toilets along the way as I don't think I could hold it in for that long.

Be careful about blanket statements concerning Americans. We don't all support our current administration's plans or positions. To take a counter example: because you're from Spain I'm not going to assume you support the ETA or Francoism. Please don't assume things about us just because we live here.

sorry womack, did not mean to say it that way..... i know that many americans are against bush and his friends. actully the majority and he never would be president if his brother would not have cheated at the first election.

could not agree more with you ferre.... and they just worry, because they are not used to fight aginst somebody with other weapons than american ones. cause normally they always supply, in the years before any war, their future opponent with enough weapons, so that he actually can fight against them.
e.g. saddam got weapons to fight iran, bin laden got weapons to fight the russians...... at the end they used them to fight america!!!
