This is a decision between a woman and her doctor. Not people in Congress who don't know me or my situation.
What about pregnant women who are carrying a baby that will not live because of the problems it has? Why should I have to carry a dead baby to term because you decide that it is against your morals to have an abortion?
I'll be honest. I don't think I could have one. But I should still have the choice.

I don't think I could have an abortion short of extreme circumstances. But I do support the right to have one. I just wish people wouldn't use it lightly.
It's definitely not always the man insisting the girl get an abortion. Sometimes the girl insists despite what the guy may want. I don't see an easy solution to that issue though.

Not you, but the child. Obviously unborn children need protection from their mothers. Why should a mother be allowed to murder her own child?

I do not think abortion is the way forward. You can not kill an innocent baby.

I think abortion is a good thing and a bad thing.
Imagine your child got a baby when she is like 14,15 or 16 what would you do? A baby will destroy the futur for your child. She wouldnt have the time to study or be with all of her friends.
I understand when people think it should be illegal because its like killing someone, so its a hard decision but I am more for it then against abortion.

There is little correlation between having a child and a life being destroyed.
Yes, it changes things. But what doesn't? What I have for breakfast will change my life.
And to follow up on Dustin's post, I'm pretty sure Jesus was a guy. And he made moral decisions.

No. I don't think Men should be telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies.
I don't think abortion is a moral issue at all.

On that note women shouldn't tell men what to do with their bodies either.

And how do women do that? We aren't the ones in charge determining that things like birth control are not covered by insurance.

your priorities are confused. People and family come before money.

Because women have no role in the way government is run? Or is there some other reason?

Not an answer for me in my life now or ever. There are so many couples desperate for children that whatever the situation why not make something truly positive come out of it. Face never being able to have your own children and you get a different perspective.
In situations of health crisis that is something else.
I would not presume to make this decision for someone else.

Why didn't I think of that? Let someone else have the kid. That way you don't have to pay for it and can have nothing to do with it if that's what you want to do. Hell, pretend it's dead if it makes you feel better. But it will be loved by someone.

That is utter BS! My younger sister had her kid when she herself was one and I can assure she has very healthy life style, great social life and is at Uni studying for a degree. I also know a lot of people who has kids at 16 or 17 have gone on to be very successful.
If a girl gets herself pregnant she needs to live up to her responsibility of having sex in the first place and I believe that goes with the younger girls who are not fully educated on sex. Killing an unborn child is the selfish option.
We actually have a case here in Ireland at the moment where a 17 year old is holding an unborn child with anencephaly. The child will only live for a day or two after birth. Our courts have disallowed her to travel across to the U.K. for an abortion, doing so is illegal here. You can read more here.
I've been brought up in a very opinionated pro-life family but sometimes I wonder when it comes to situations like the above girl.

That was my thought too. it sounds like someone just wants to have lots of consequence free, unprotected sex. Make babies but not have to worry about accountability because, hey, theres always abortion. sex requires responsibility, imo.

My point exactly. Girl agrees to have sex, girl accepts responsibility.
Yes, there's almost no shame in it for the guy, and if he leaves what can you do?
Which makes it even more important for the girl to take the decision seriously.
And to have a knife ready to cut off the guys dick if she says no and he doesn't listen.

Men are held responsible. I pay tens of thousands of dollars in child support, and if I didn't I'd be put in jail. I'm not complaining - indeed, I give more than the court orders - just stating the facts.
