Ok - my friends don't like it when I talk politics, so you guys now get to put up with my rantings.....

On a serious note with the whole "are you a democrat or are you a racist" thing (actual media quote by the way)

Conservatives take a principled stand against so-called "hate-crimes" laws and against racial quotas, and we're now forever tagged as racists. A few reminders:

1) It was a Republican that signed the Emancipation proclamation

2) It was a Republican that used the Army to enforce the Brown v. Board decision

3) A larger percentage of Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act (one of those voting against - AlGore's dad). It was a Democrat who stood in the schoolhouse door and called for "segregation now, segregation forever"

4) The only black person on SCOTUS at the moment is a Republican, nominated to that position by a Republican. (And we LOVE him)

5) The only two blacks to serve as SecState, which is the highest non-elected position in our government, were nominated by a Republican and confirmed by a Republican-controlled Senate. (Dr. Rice, BTW, has been the target of vicious race-based attacks from the left)

6) When Obama was campaigning for Henry Ford (black Dem) in Tennessee, he said that he "needed more people who looked like him on Capitol Hill." When he campaigned against Michael Steele (black Rep) in Maryland, he told black audiences "you shouldn't vote for someone based on their skin color"

I'm sure I'll come up with more and add to the post later.



If I can save just one liberal, it will all be worth it

Most likely I would vote for Romney.

If being a woman or being black will hurt someones chances of winning then Romney being LDS (mormon) is going to cause him some trouble trying to win the election.
