I feel like such a stoopido! I just found out Tony Blair was rezigning, not re-signing. It's a good thing he's quitting. I have good reason to believe that it is best for England, and in the long run, best for us, as England's no.1 trading partner. Now this is just between us and the Internet - Tony Blair may have an STD. Don't ask me how i know, but I am pretty sure about it.

Don't put yourself down, leave that up to the rest of us
Not quite sure who England's no.1 trading partner is; the European Community, The Common Wealth, Asia, The United States of America ? Most of Britains wealth is through international trade. The UK is Global.
Finally, he is still Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. That's Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England. Sorry to be so picky but technically he is more than just in charge of England.
You can't be saying the soon to be ex leader of your most staunch ally has a vinerial disease. You'll have the SAS on your ass. Retract, please retract this statement.
I'm beginning to sound like his defender on this forum, it is not my intention, I'm happy he is going too. But there is no need to slander the man and kick him when he is down. That is just bad form old man.

It is expected that in a fortnight's time, as of today, he will hand in his resignation to the Queen and step down as Prime Minister. Gordon Brown will then take over.

Sunday 24th June: Gordon Brown is formally elected leader of the Labour Party, one of Tony Blair's former roles.
Wednesday Blair will formally resign in person to the Queen and then vacate Downing Street. Gordon Brown will go and kiss the Queen's hand. He will then assume the role of Prime Minister of Great Britain.
Then who knows what will happen.

Today is the day, come this afternoon and Tony Blair is history as Prime Minister of Great Britain and Gordon Brown takes over.
If you are ever going to watch question time, this would be a good day to watch it, 12:00 GMT, Parliament channel.
My verdict for what its worth: Bush and Iraq did for him, his biggest miscalculation. It lead to his downfall. It is a pity, but that is what he will be remembered for in the end.
The media in the UK have been relentlessly after his head since the Gilligan affair. They have a lot to answer for, politics is populated in this country by second-rate minds, you have to ask why the big thinkers avoid politics these days. We are being turned into a land of mediocrity.
So what now for Blair:
Bertie Ahern claims he has been offered the job as Middle East envoy for the US, Russia, the UN and the EU, says Irish PM Bertie Ahern:

If so he will have to resign as Minister of Parliament (MP) for his constituency, Sedgefield.

He knew that there was not a good reason to go to war but his spin doctors needed to get the UK on side so they span their web of deceit and in the process lot's of UK soldiers have died and still are.
The British have gone to war and didn't even have the full equipment, the US actually helped out some of the British boys with equipment.
Basically, British soldiers were sent to their grave based on deceit and not even having the right gear.
Good Prime Minister? Let's let the British public decide.
