I couldn't marry someone who wasn't atheist. Love can be a powerful thing so maybe I could. But I doubt it very much. 'Specially if she was off to church every Sunday morning.

I can't see myself being married, but if such a thing were to occur I could see this happening.

Yes, though fifteen years of Catholic school has pretty much taken the faith right out of me.
But I believe in the celebration and respect of different faiths, yes.

Interesting question. Would enjoy seeing an elaboration on responses both ways.
Personally ... am not religious or believe in god(s) / the supernatural. I do my best to be respectful to those of faith but could never see being in a serious relationship with someone who had strong convictions.
Reason (as best I can explain in two paragraphs) ... the notion of faith goes beyond opinion. I could 'marry' someone of different political orientation, social views, etc ... but the idea of faith is significantly more definite and unbending than all of the above. I think it would be inevitable for a spouse to 'look down' upon me for not sharing her views on things like an afterlife etc and I do not believe she could take me seriously in a scenario where she felt bad for me because I didn't believe as her ... consequently prohibiting me from being able to go with her to a heaven, etc.
Meanwhile ... I think my non-belief could too easily (and often is) be interpreted as disrespectful. Case in point ... my above use of the word supernatural . As an atheist that is a pure explanation ... to someone religious making the comparison of their strongest conviction to a word that could also be used to describe something as 'fake' is going to at some point offend (and I am sorry if it has here ... hopefully the title was an adequate precursor to alternative opinions).
But I guess most the yes’s here are from those of just differen’t faiths …?

I do not have a "Faith" which can be compared to Abrahamic religions, my "faith" is not at all a matter of "faith", I do not "believe" anything, there are things that I "know" and I have no need for any "faith".
I could not live with someone who is gullible enough to "believe" in all kind of myths, fairy tales and other stories, I prefer to have a relationship with intelligent people who have the ability to see the difference between myth and reality and who have enough self confidence not to need all sorts of imaginary friends to hold their hands during their lives.
I personally find people who "believe" to be like spiritual larvea, intellectually and spiritually not mature enough to be around all day long and specially not to be in a relationship with.
I know this sounds belittering towards those who 'believe' and it sounds arrogant as well, but I'm only honest, for me, 'believing' is a sign of mental weakness, and I could not have a (sexual) relationship with mentally challenged people, that doesn't get me on.

But, most of what you believe to be true is not supported by fact. Whether you like it or not, you believe without supporting evidence = you have faith.

Please speak for yourself John. Most of what I believe IS supported by fact. I do not "believe" much, in fact, I do not think that I 'Believe' anything that's not supported by facts. I have no problem at all acknowledging that there are many things I don't know the answer to. I have no problem with that at all.
