Perhaps, if only one plane was involved, there could be a justification to doubt CIA. But, 5 or 6 planes, many targets, close to 100 people (direct and indirect) involved in the attack ... It is too big a team for a government agency to design, execute and maintain a secret later ...

I read the article and although it is one sided it can be argued that the Arab terrorists have gained some "hate" momentum as a result of our (U.S.) attack in Afghanistan and Iraq. Whether or not they're a bigger threat is another question altogether.

I think our invasion of Afghanistan would have been more then enough of an excuse for most of these haters if they even needed that. In fact, I think our support for Israel has been enough for years. Otherwise how do you explain the cheering that so many Arabs and others (you?) displayed publicly at the murder of thousands of Americans?

So tell me Ferre, if you had been asked what should be done right after 9-11, what would you have recommended? And do you think the people behind the 9-11 murders needed ANY more excuses to want to kill Americans?

Why don't you spend some time attacking THEIR judgement, methods, and motives? Or is it ok to saw one's head off on video to "make a statement"?

I hate to break it to you, but America isn't the bad guy here.

Investigate who really plotted and who financed it. It's as simple as that, and it never happened. All we got was a fake video and lies, so many lies that this alone justifies an investigation.

No lie. that Iraq government is nothing but a puppet government and the occupation forces even wrote their new constitution in frikkin English. Even the prime minister is appointed by the US and NOT elected.

Get your facts straight please. Iraq is totally under control of America.

Do you know how many permanent bases they have in Iraq?

Ferre - I'll work on the growing up thing, but at 40+ it may be too late.

To have someone who claims he doesn't believe 9-11 even happened tell ME to grow up is breathtaking. It's obvious that you have chosen to NOT believe what others have reported about 9-11 so trying to have a discussion or debate with you on any subject is pointless.

I'm curious Ferre, did the holocaust happen as advertised?

Dude, is there something wrong with your brain? Show me where I ever claimed that I believe 9/11 didn't happen.

...and John, you are right, the present Iraqi prime minister was elected by the Iraq National Assembly, Iyad Allawi however, was appointed and the Iraq constitution they have now was not written by the Iraqi government, it was written in English by the occupation forces and had to be translated into Arabic later.

This page gives a nice display on how during the years, Iraq changed from having a puppet government owned by the UK to having a democracy with a puppet government owned by the USA.

Maybe you meant something else, but either way your brain has obviously filtered the news on that day and immediately following that day through a set of brain circuitry uniquely yours. If I were an arse I'd behave like you and start to attack YOUR level of maturity and sanity. It's you afterall who are suggesting that hundreds of millions of Americans have their heads in the sand over 9-11. It's not up to us to prove 9-11 was carried out pretty much exactly as we've been told. I watched the news as it happened and I'm satisfied with the explanations I've received about who was behind it.

You on the other hand probably still don't believe I even lost my cousin that day. I suggest it's you that has burnt a few too many cells in that hard head of yours. But, I won't resort to attacking you because it seems to me that that is what turns you on.

We wouldn't have any choice but to leave. The public (U.S.) would demand it. In my opinion, this would be the best possible scenario for us to get out of there. It would hopefully cause the Iraqi people to respect their government and it would give us the "permission" we need to get out of their without getting blamed for all of their future problems. (Of course there will be some that blame us for everything no matter what the facts....)

Recently the Prime Minister of Iraq caused a ruckess by stating that "they could handle their own security" without our help. This caused quite a stir over here and a lot of people questioned why we didn't packup and leave then. It was later revealed that the words were taken out of context and tat he wasn't implying he wanted us out of there... yet.

I think he's just trying to reassure the Iraqi people that their government will survive post-American "occupation".

This may surprise you...

I believe that the approaches put forth on that blog might be the best course of action. I don't think we'll close the bases we have throughout the world down and I think it'll be some time before we get out of Afghanistan and Iraq, but I do think a radical change in strategy is what we need.

When millions of people around the world come to believe that America (US) is the "bad guy", the "bully", the "real terrorist", "nazis" it's time to withdraw and focus our energies on bettering our own.

Perhaps it's time to cut off all foriegn aid including military aid and UN aid and use those resources to overhaul our education system starting with the inner cities. If/when we're asked for military assistance then we can decide if it's worth our lives.

An old friend, Mikey Weinstein, once told me that "charity starts at home" and he's right. The U.S. should take care of itself starting with cleaning up the crime and restoring our education system to levels competitive with the rest of the world.
