Well john i don't that u know the truth about Taliban. They were the people who brought real peace in Afghanistan after the russian attack over Afghanistan in 1979.Let me go in depth, Taliban are the product of American govt and its a fact.
When Russia attacked Afghanistan, they killed a lot of people and Americans themselves shown it in videos still they are available if any one need it i can put them here.
U.S was not interested in the Russian attack so they started helping Pakistani govt they provided economical support also they provided defence power to Talibans which at that time were called as MUJAHIDEEN.
After the Russian attack a lot of people from diffferent muslim countries came to Afghanistan for JIHAD.
They defeated Russia, after that Russia splitted up and a lot of other Muslim countries like Kazikistan,Azarbhaijan etc etc came in to being.
During this whole war US govt supported the Mujahideen, through Pakistan govt. And this is on the record not just a story.
And remeber that this is the mystry dur to which America and Russia always stand agianst each other which offcourse u have noted.
After the success of Mujahideen (Taliban) , they started ruling over Afghanistan and brought complete peace over there.Amercian govt themselves stated that Afghanistan is the only country where there is real peace.
Up to 9/11 America supported Talibans in Afghanistan but after that attack which was in fact done by the US govt themselves,America attacked Afghanistan, and blamed Talibans as terrorest. And till now they r saying the same. Those people which were called Islam tigers "Mujahideen" upto 9/11 were blamed as terrorest very interesting.
As mujahideen themselves were supported by US govt then how they can defend America. So Taliabn lost and America won.But till now we can see that America is failed to bring peace to Afghanistan.
john i live in Pakistan and in pakistan on the border of Afghanistan so i have seen it that Americans are doing nothing as they can't do anything.US army is losing control over Afghanistan day by day, as u can see it on BBC or CNN.
Let say if US army is hvaing control of Afghanistan then why they can't USAMA and Mula UMAR.As they r saying that they r in Afghanistan it becoz they don't have control over afghanistan.
I have visited Afghanistan 6 times. My last visit was on 7th septemer 2007.I meet US army and asked them as they were happy or not they said offcourse no.As they r brought to an un endful war.
John let me tell u that Afghanistan is the only place and also some areas of Pakistan which are Waziristan ,which are never conqurered by any invador.Every one lost here.U can see the example of great Alexander who lost in subcontinent.
QTE=mauiman;703536]I'm sorry if I'm coming across as "hateful" towards Muslims. I'm fully aware that many, if not the majority of, Muslims wish the radicals would just go away. I just think there are too many who choose to remain silent when they could help prevent the slaughter of innocents or help capture those who commit these atrocities after the fact. It's beginning to happen in Iraq finally and that's why the tide is turning against the radical insurgents.
I grew up in a military family (US Army) so I have a good grip on what we're asking our soldiers to risk by going to Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of them joined the service BECAUSE of 9-11 and I would have as well if I weren't over the age limit. Not to kill Muslims, but to be a part of the response to the attack on our country.
By being in Afghanistan and Iraq we've successfully drawn thousands of radicals out into the open and killed or captured them. Of course, there are many who have BECOME radicalized because they feel abused by our going into Iraq and Afghanistan. I'd probably feel much the same if the roles were reversed. But, I can't see myself ever killing innocent children, women and men in the name of any cause.
9-11 proved that sitting still peacefully was NOT the right strategy. Sooner or later someone was going to get their hands on WMD and bring it to our shores. Our response WAS drastic and I understand why so many believe inappropriate and too aggressive. But, I understand, and agree with, the decision to get as close to the source of this hatred as possible with force to try to shift the equation from 'sitting and wishing' to 'finding and eliminating'.
I hope the Afghani and Iraqi people are able to take advantage of our actions to turn their countries into far better places for their children and their children. They may never have a better chance than they do right now.
Finally, if I wasn't clear earlier I don't feel hate towards Muslims at all. I feel bad for those caught in the crossfire. I only wish the hatred many feel towards the U.S. for doing what it believes is the RIGHT THING were as strong towards those who would kill innocents INTENTIONALLY in an attempt to further their cause.
Peace

NO mauiman u r not coming accross hateful words but we Muslims are saying the truth, as the record shows America supported these Talibans against Russian atack over Afghanistan and upto 9/11 they were supporting them but after 9/11 Talibans became terrorest...amazing.
Read ur history u wil see that why America and Russia are always against each other. The only reason u will find is the Russian attack over Afghanistan and American support to Talibans.
America attacked Afghanistan saying it will bring peace there, but do u se any peace there i can't see any peace there, and offcourse no one can see any peace in Afghanistan and Iraq but only we can see sucider attacks, don't u think world got unsafer after the American attack over Afghanistan and Iraq.
Thx
