President Karsai offered the Talibans in Afghanistan peace-talks. After some negotiations they even should be offered seats in the government.

The Taliban declined!!!

IMO that is the final proof that the Taliban have no interest whatsoever in a peaceful solution - they need terror and panic. That is what they live on......

Any ideas for solutions???

I don't think there is a solution, the Taliban are driven by irrational religious doctrines more suited for the middle ages than our modern times, for me they are totally insane and that's what their policies reflects. In my view they are like a mad dog and the only way to get rid of the danger they represent is to wipe them out entirely. When they demolished those ancient Buddhist statues it was clear to me that they are not civilized and that they do not have any sense of reason.

Let me clear Taliban not yet rejected the offer completly but they have asked for some time to think over it.
But i don't think that it will bring peace in Afghanistan beacuase doing this will inpower the Al-qaida a lot.
But anyway this amy be a way to bring Talibans for negotiations.Lets hope that it results in peace.So that Afghan people may enjoy the new life given to them by US forces.
US forces are doing a lot in Afghanistan, i personally have seen it.They are constructing new houses for them , hospitals, schools.And thats a green signal for peace and development.

Actually this is a way for making peace in that country. the more they isolate al qaida from the taliban the better it is for the afgan people and our soldiers there. as long as karsai doesnt let the taliban rule it could be a positive. I agree the common afgan in the streets has been through enough hell. I also hope they work on bring some rights to the afgan woman.

could not agree more...... but what to do, if the taliban refuse to talk and to participate in the government??

I think Taliban may not refuse it bt they will try to get the best use of it.As they are getting a chance to peace talks.
