This is one of my weak topics - Ozone / pollution - otherwise I would dig in more..

I'm not fond of this topic as I'm too much of a black and white thinker. Apparently this issue is burried deep in the grey, lacking some substancial research into the credibility of the supposed facts. Kinda sucks ... .. digging is damned hard work. I like easy debates where I can emerge victorious in a few posts.

It's sad sometimes, that the human condition revolves around ego.

Holes are usually invisible, we generally only get to see their edges (or to be more precise what encompasses them).

In part it makes us who we are. Now isn't that scary.

Funny, But so true, I think we ALL like to emerge with at least one or 2 posts (Crowns) of victory, even in 200 post threads.

Not bad, this thread was started on 10-4-07 & already indexed in google #1 for "Ozone Shrinking 2007" http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...07&btnG=Search "ozone shrinking" only pulls up NASA's 2000 report, bound to be some good umm, excuse my controversial French - Tree Huggers - reading this thread .. (As if anyone was interested in my findings)

Ok, back on Topic, I found this chart showing the Ozone for the last 10 years & it follows the same pattern from thin to thick to thin again, 2007 is showing less of a high yet still is on track with the same pattern of the previous 2 years, I suppose I don't see what all the commotion is about... I mean you can see that it's Obviously been ALLOT Thiner in the past..
Chart Reference: http://www.theozonehole.com/ozonehole2007.htm
Or this chart:

So, if we shouldn't start a commotion when it shrinks, why should we cause a commotion when it grows? This is the logic and irony I was trying to get at when I started the thread.

I can see why after finding that chart & seeing that it follows the same path each year, with a few different variations. Far from the worst of either extremes this year though... Some people just need something to complain or freak out about I suppose in order to feel, um, ALIVE!
