Breastfeeding Rights
Do you think that restaurants, etc, should be allowed to ask women to not breastfeed their babies in public?
I'm pro-breast. Live and let live, you know.

It's one of the most natural things in the world. Down with prudery. The infants are at the restaurant to eat too, right? Then again, I'm of the opinion that restaurants shouldn't allow infants. Nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public, IMO.

That's a tough one, my answer would be (and this is either going to get me ignored by all the ladies or bitched at) if the woman is like, a double D (DD boob size) then I wouldn't want to be eating my damn ravioli and suddenly see stuff tumble out of her shirt, you know, like her groping at it all to keep it in place.
They could design clothing for these women, so when it comes feeding time all the have to do is slide open a little tinny hatch (nipple sized) and voila. Milk ala boobies. We don't see the flabby tits, and no one gets divorced for staring.
I'm being serious with the fashion idea of mine btw.

The women are going to kill me for this answer, but I feel more comfortable when breast feeding is discreet. I say that as a mom who nursed her babies, and it was how I dealt with things also.

Yeah it's a matter of respect IMO. The mother could always breast feed BEFORE she goes out to a restaurant, and in the rare case that she has to do it AGAIN, she can go to the waiting area of the restroom

I think the societies everywhere should do all they can to encourage mothers to breastfeed their babies.

My own personal view... I don't care if someone breast feeds in public. It's no skin off my teeth. And, I feel that if someone is truly that offended by the practice, then they can always look elsewhere. There's no gun to their head, forcing them to look in the direction of the breast feeding woman. People are too touchy these days, too willing to play "the offense card". (You've offended me with ________ and I am now somehow damaged by it.)
That being said, I think the owner of a restaurant should have the right to refuse service to a breast feeding woman if he/she feels that they will lose customers because of it. They have to balance the needs of the breast feeder with the needs of customers who find it offensive and decide for themselves whose patronage is more important to them. Not very different from refusing to serve someone without a shirt or shoes.

Breastfeeding should be a right, that's the most natural thing in earth.
If you don't like it don't watch it.

Does that mean if I do like it, I can watch it?

I did do meant that, but I prefer a mother feeding a baby than listen to a hungry baby crying.

That's another point, what woman would be ok with taking her boob out in a public restaurant? Wait, what man would be ok with having a lady he's with regardless of how she is related to him, whip out a breast and shove it in a babies mouth.
I still think woman with a little self respect should either feed their baby before they go out, or do it in private. Aye, it should be their right but, come on, you'll have prostitutes walking around with their boobs out holding a baby in their arm to attract new clients next, who is to say they are wrong. Few years from now, pregnant women might find wearing tops pointless because it makes breast feeding simpler, and what do you know, give it a few more years we'll be cave men and women again sucking off any nipple just for the sake of it.
