We all know how the current American government is getting involved in the Lebanese internal issues indirectly.

All my concern for posting this article here was to know what do v7n members (mostly Americans) think about getting involved in other country's internal issues.
If you agree on getting involved in others internal issues (maybe you'll feel more secured in USA that way, I don't really know) and if what Walid Maalouf is stating is corrent; then in what way do you think Americans can eliminate (or drive out) Hezballah in Lebanon?


Here are some fast info about US-Lebanon relations:
- There were talks about opening an American military base in north Lebanon. (from Israeli source; debka files)
- American's main intension is about nationalizing Palestinians in Lebanon (by the help of the current Lebanese government) while we (the Christians of Lebanon) are asking them to go back to their country, Palestine.

PS: I don't really care who becomes the American President but I care about my country and I won't let anyone to harm the country (after we fought 15 years to put Syria out, I don't want to start fights with Americans )

I have to admit that I don't have enough knowledge to make a real choice on this one, I mean we've all been told Hezbollah is nothing but a terrorist organization. I am glad that Syria is gone from Lebanon and would like to see lebonnon become a free and prosperous place. Is this something that is possible under current conditions?

America didn't instigate the fifteen year civil war that demolished your country. Reagan didn't send in the troops until innocent Americans were murdered. Americans aren't the threat to Lebanon, Lebanese are a threat to Lebanon.
