Just seems like a cheap ass way to link to your blog as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry to offend. Spamming was not my intention. My intention was to show that there are lots of non-expensive ways to reduce energy consumption, non of which had been mentioned yet by this site or this thread. Hybrid cars are not the only way to make a contribution, nor does everyone have enough money to buy one or even need one. Heck for that matter, just take public transportation.
Yes, I am focused on home reno's and energy conservation in the home, hence my familiarity with such energy conservation products, including those that consume no non-renewable resources and many of which are not European based which seems to be the primary location for the majority of this forum.
Again, sorry to offend as that was not my intention.

Whats wrong with the products or resources that are European?
Hybrid cars are not the only way to make a contribution, nor does everyone have enough money to buy one or even need one.- there are other options when it come to cars. There are engine conversions that allows the engine to use alternative resources.

Hi Jabo,
Absolutely nothing. Its just that I have no visibility of them since I am located in North America. I can only 'talk' about consumer energy conservation products that I personally use and those are from where I live.
Do you have a web site or know of a web site that might be focused on consumer energy conservation products for the European consumer? I'd really like to check it out and learn more.
Many thanks,
Dan

In this whole grand scheme of things I love how the SUV driver has become the enemy. Most environmental nut jobs like to make themselves feel good about themselves with the small, completely useless (except to transport 1-2 people, no supplies) hybrid cars and mini's. But, these same people that can afford a $40,000 baby hybrid car are the same people that live in 4,000 square foot homes with only 3 people in the family. But that's ok, right? I mean, it's not like it takes more resources to heat and cool that massive home.
I guess it's only important the way you look to other people and it's easy to be an environmentalist (insert slang term for female genitalia), with a green car.

We have enough energy in all forms right here in the USA - I say use it.

America's oil shale reserves are enormous, totaling at least 1.5 trillion barrels of oil. That's five times the reserves of Saudi Arabia! And yet, no one is producing commercial quantities of oil from these vast deposits. All that oil is still sitting right where God left it, buried under the vast landscapes of Colorado and Wyoming.
|
One million barrels per acre.
What needs to happen is, the US government needs to divest itself from all land ownership except only what it needs at the moment, and mind it's own business, looking out over the horizon for threats, and leave people here ALONE.

That kind of talk usually gets me banned. Odd finding a forum where a near purist from the LP is welcome.

Is Ron Paul as extreme as he appeared during the debates? If so I'm not wasting my time in further research of him....if not then tell me how he's not radical....I find radicalism on either side equally noxious and dangerous

He is a pure constitutionalist.
And here's a quote you should know.

touche' .........I'll have to go look into his thoughts.....but from the impressions from his speaking he wanted radical quick change to accomplish his truism without the forethought of immediate backlash and cost. You can't fix in 1 term something that's taken 2 centuries to get screwed up....and you can't pull everyone out of a battlefield within a couple of months because you don't agree with how you got there.....

If you are going to check into Ron Paul just skip the middle man and go to the source Ayn Rand, Friedrich Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, et.al.

Ayn Rand actually hated the Libertarians. She thought they lacked teeth. Everything she wrote would be Libertarian, but for the foreign policy aspect.
