Club Website - Software Recommendations

Hello all, advice requested:

Background:
1) I've built a website using Wordpress for front end and SMF for Forum a few years ago but not much IT work recently.
2) I'm probably becoming the Webmaster for ~250 member social Newcomers Club and the existing website (Wordpress with MailPoet) is poor and thus under-utilized.
3) Two main choices, rebuild from scratch, try and improve current.

Minimum Website Features:
1) Standard info pages with images, ideally newish theme
2) New members signup, current members profile edit including subscription to different club sections (Golf, Bridge, Lunch, Hikes etc)
3) Members only webpages area with access to additional info i.e. Exec Committee Meeting Minutes etc)
4) Emails with club logo/header for Newsletters and Invites to subscribed section's events
5) Payments section for annual dues and event signups (i.e. lunch, golf etc)
6) Calendar showing events and info/contact details
7) Simple to build/maintain for Webmaster and by Club Section admins.

Options (I can think of):
1) Replace with Meetup website - Looks too simple
2) Replace with prebuilt i.e. Wild Apricot website - Good, but may not have all features want/limited expandability.
3) Rebuild legacy website (with who knows how much detritus)
4) Replace with new website using i.e. Wordpress or other system and Plug-Ins?

Appreciate any advice people can give, thanks, John.

How many visitors a day does your current site get & how many is it expected to get in the future?

Vaguar, thanks for help, not that many with currently 256 members, I have no way of telling current of future, but currently ~8 events a week. Hope helps.

Why not try wordpress and search a premade theme on themeforest that fit your requirements.

In that case, just reinstall WordPress on to the current site, pick a light, responsive theme & be done with it.
