XML Sitemap Generator

Hi,

Looking for Suggestions on an XML sitemap generator. The website i'm crawling has over 50k pages.

The current winning contender is A1 sitemap, but looking for advice from users with experience in other generators.

You do know sitemaps are limited, right ?

I know the limit is 50k pages but in my opinion it would be far more beneficial to have several sitemaps instead of 1 loaded with 50k pages.

I hand code mine but I also don't deal with 50k pages either.

In addition to the 50,000 URL limit, Google recommends breaking up sitemaps when they get that large:

Quote:

Break up large sitemaps into a smaller sitemaps to prevent your server from being overloaded if Google requests your sitemap frequently. A sitemap file can't contain more than 50,000 URLs and must be no larger than 50 MB uncompressed.

Use a sitemap index file to list all your sitemaps and submit this single file to Google rather than submitting individual sitemaps.

You can use the online sitemap generator tool that can give the compressed Sitemap for your SEO purpose. Better break the sitemap into two or three when it exceeds 50000 URLs.

Yup I fully understand sitemaps and index files.

Can someone still suggest a sitemap creator?

I use xml-sitemaps(.)com. This is very good xml-sitemaps generator. And you also generate xml.gz, .html, .html, urllist.txt, ror.xml file with this website. :)

If you have more than 500 links in your website than you have to go with the paid generators.

You can generate sitemap from any of the tool but they allow only 500 links and if you need more than then you have to get the premium package.
