Hi everybody!!!

using free tools, I made a sitemao.xml, but some pages doses't appear at the sitemap ¿what could be happen?

poksa 12-14-2007 11:50 AM

Most of sitemap generator tools can handle only 500 pages...

oracle 12-14-2007 01:52 PM

Yeah, so you have to add the rest of your pages manually.... or you can hire someone to do it for you,

infogle 12-14-2007 02:28 PM

just google you will find some of free sites that generate your full sitemap for free...

Sitemaps are intended to help the search engine crawlers crawl better. If some pages are not even listed on sitemap, bots will crawl them, unless you specify not to crawl them on your robots.txt. So don't worry about that.

This site generates a sitemap upto 5000 URLs.

are those tools really reliable to generate your whole sitemap? Or is it much better to make a manual sitemap?

Why don't you try to have a look at Google sitemap? Seems it is really easy to install.

You'll have no problem generating your sitemap manually when you have 500 pages but if your site is more than that...well, i wish you luck

But that's not functioning as of now...and I should say that even without sitemap your site will be fine as long as it is SE friendly and the url structure is properly done....

At this time we cannot spider more than 5,000 URLs per site.

I agree 100% as we get many companies calling us worried about not having a site map when they should be concentrating on the more basic things such as good unique content.

Having site map is one good advantage because through site map your showing search engines the summary of your site, by this, it can be easily crawled...

Microsys 12-29-2007 05:57 AM

Another possibility is if your website suffers from crawling problems, e.g. www vs non-www links used across you website. Since Google and most website scanners differentiate the two that can lower found pages a lot. There are many other possible reason such as javascript links and alike. If you are unsure, try check this article http://www.micro-sys.dk/developer/ar...l-problems.php
