Not right but looking at the News Release it implies like she was mentally unwell.

I was having sex with adult women when I was 16. Can't really say I'm scarred for life.

In the UK anyway, 16 year olds can put it about and it isn't a crime. How old do you have to be over there?

John Scott 06-01-2006 03:13 AM

In Japan I think 13 nationally, but it varies by prefecture.

In the US, no idea, but I am pretty sure that a lot of 16 year olds are hitting it.

pukenerampa 06-01-2006 03:17 AM

is their a law nowadays that you can sue a rape to a woman? If i am not mistaken their is not according to our constitution teacher :D

Yeah but they drew the line at 18 ... couple years away.

Atom 06-01-2006 03:33 AM

The time came when I had just turned 18 and my g/f was still 17, so my activity technically became illegal for a while, but we weren't bothered about it. This girl is 39 and the kid is 16 ... quite a difference, and you know how people are. Like if it were my kid I may or may not raise a fuss, I don't really know as I don't have kids or know the situation at all.

If he is of age then I guess that nobody can really kick off so I guess that the age of consent (thats a bronski beat album title I think ) must be above 16 over there then.

18 I think. Not sure if that varies with the different states or not.

Trapper 06-01-2006 04:34 AM

nevermind

Ferre 06-01-2006 05:01 AM

I do not think that the fact that she's not good looking is a crime whatsoever and down here it would not be a crime for a 16 years old to have sex. If a 16 years old decides to have sex with an ugly older woman that's their busyness, not anyone elses and certainly not the busyness of the state.

Ohiosweetheart 06-01-2006 05:09 AM

In the U.S. if the parents pushed it, the adult could be charged with statutory rape, for having sex with a minor. Few adults push it tho. Just the threat is enough to make the adult back off, lol

John Scott 06-01-2006 05:15 AM

Americans seem to have such a problem with sex. Why don't they just make all sex illegal and get it over with?

LOL... naw...
But I can certainly understand the point. If I'd caught a 39 yr old man having sex with my 14 or 15 yr old daughter, I'd have gone after him.

Julie 06-01-2006 05:21 AM

At 16, I think people are capable of knowing the consequences of sex and deciding whether or not to have it....whether it be with a 17 year old, or a 40 year old.
