Why Some Internal Pages are Not Getting Indexed or Cached

A common question on forums is "Why aren't my pages indexed?" or "Why are my pages not cached?"

Michael Martinez of SEO Theory has complied a list of common site problems that cause your pages not to be indexed or cached.

Why Some Internal Pages are Not Getting Indexed or Cached
Quote:

A common problem, the apparent inability of some pages on a Website to appear in a major search index, brings up the usual list of suspects in most discussions but sometimes the people who ask for help donít come back to report on progress. Maybe they ask the same question on a dozen forums out of frustration and the majority of answers appear where they will never be seen. But the stock answers do not always help pinpoint the problems.
