Recently, I have seen many hospital clinics and nursing home starting depression treatment service.

Can you tell me is depression so spread out that local hospitals have started providing treatment?

Please give your views.

Depression is an ailment, it's no wonder if hospitals are able to provide treatment. I think mental problems has been rampant in this new age of technology. No more personal social interaction, and more on the digital interaction. Good for you that you have hospitals for it. We only have few clinics in my small city. I have my depressed modes but I can't really say I have depression. It's a tough battle. It's a tough place to be in.

I get naturally depressed if I'm inside all day and just go to work and come home without socializing.

I think depression can happen to anyone if their entire life is only work.

We became a lot more disconnected from each other, like X Gen said, because of technology. There is this fake interaction that people have nowadays, text messages, social networks and too little face to face time with other people. In my opinion this is a big part of the reason why many people in today's world suffer from depression.

Depression is so widespread that many hospitals have it as a permanent service.

While in theory, that might sound like a plan, or the issue (albeit a flimsy one), and since it hasn't affected me personally, nor have I done any research on the subject, I'm pretty sure it's way, way more complicated than that.

Do you really think playing a game is the solution to depression?? Dude, if you are going to just post a bunch of junk post trying to run up your post count, at least watch where you are posting.

Just let him be, man, he might be depressed. We don't want to cause something here...

Well, his post is now gone, so I'd wager he's been banned. So yes, he might feel a little depressed now.

Just last night as I flipped through the channels on the TV Zoomer TV had an episode on depression and isolation of seniors so yes depression is serious and perhaps because we have more elderly people now than before it is more apparent.

Technology can be good for those house bound for whatever reason to get social but I think it can also be bad and create loneliness for others.
