Isn't Pokemongo making us immobile

Pokemongo has become another social gaming evil. And similar gaming addictions like templerun, candycrush made us immobile.

While I've never played it (and probably won't), doesn't the game revolve around going to physical places to collect things? (I've seen a number of social media postings of players getting into trouble going all over while watching their phones and not where they're going.) As far as I can tell, it's anything but an immobilizing game .

It is a dangerous game, we need to walk on the street to collecting Pokemons. And sometimes we are so engrossed in the game, which becomes the cause of the accident.

mohitmathur 08-27-2016 08:35 AM

Shouldn't someone like us be trending #don'tplaypokemon or #livelifedontplaypokemon on Twitter

I was born in Camden (Cooper Hospital) but moved to the suburbs (Westmont) before I started school.

My wife and daughter play it sometimes. The game itself is not an issue as far as the getting hurt, lost, walking into poles etc goes. That's more an issue of individuals. Wife has never driven and done it though they have added a feature that you have to press if you are moving to fast to say you are a passenger. Covers them when others are stupid and play while driving

Most of us have had it happen, talking to family or friends while walking and end up walking right into a pole or look over and notice you aren't walking with your family and friends anymore and either alone or with complete strangers looking at you strangely. The fact that it happened is funny...happening multiple times is scary Usually means you aren't learning any lessons from your mistakes ;)

Not thinking the the Pokemon game is the danger rather those playing it continuing to have the same kind of accidents after it happens the first time.

It's the trend ! And I bilieve people will satiate soon !

it not good for us. this is dangerous. its looks like you are walking on the road like a blind man. if you addicted to it then you have to face many problems . i have never played it. but i think if you use fake GPS then it will be easier to paly. otherwise, it can be harmful.

Perspective holds a lot of value. Especially the perspective of a society in general. The question about whether a game is bad for us has 2 different answers really.

It's bad because it offers an avenue for bad habits
Isn't bad or good it's a game, what we do with it is what may be bad

Through the perspective that the game is bad because it gives us an avenue for poor behavior places the blame on the game. The fact that people play while they are driving, walk into poles, ponds, and off the sides of cliffs because they are paying more attention to a game than they are their surroundings wouldn't happen if the game didn't exist.

Through the perspective or reality the game is just that...a game. What people do whether they do it playing this particular game or they do it just because they place no responsibility on their own actions or give no thought to what they are doing has nothing to do with the game. If the game didn't exist these same behaviors would happen in a different way.

You may find it a stretch or a different kind of argument when talking about a game but it all comes down to personal responsibility and common sense. Both are severely lacking in the U.S. society of today so the game is not the cause but just a lens that magnifies the size of the problem.

In regards to the opening topic, just like anything else in this world it all comes down to being balanced. PokemonGo is a video game that provides a certain level of entertainment for all ages. Playing the game has "expanded the horizons" of many by getting some fresh air and walking more and exercising more.

However playing PokemonGo to point where one loses their sense of surroundings can be dangerous. It's the responsibility of an individual and the parents to monitor the usage so that it's entertaining to play this PokemonGo Video Game, but not to the point where it puts their life in a dangerous situation.

don't worry, it's down. I had tried this game for 1 week and got bored with it
It made me feel like i have to sacrifice my Gmail acount GPS location to attain the right to play it.

“As Pokémon GO continues to gain steam, smartphone manufacturers will turn out devices that have features aimed specifically at this next generation of smartphone users — mobile phone users that are actually mobile,” Slashgear.com reported on Saturday

We look for better battery to play the game but it seem there are no need for such a battery.

from http://choilieng.com/apk-on-pc/com.n....pokemongo.apk, we can see the down trend of Pokemon Go.
Niantic even spoke that they won't release any new versions, which made their shares drop 18%. Great loss!

I have never once played it. And I do refuse to. Simply because when I am online I need to focus on what I am working on.
But I think it is making people mobile. Just look:

It's good to regurgitate the pokemon nostalgia although it dried out the wow factor fairly quickly. You don't really "play" pokemon go and you don't really compete in my opinion but most coffee shops have pokestops you can "play" the game without even moving.

I used to be mesmerized by this game, but I decided to stop playing it since it eats up a lot of my time and it even take me to places I'm not supposed to go. I had to ask permission to go inside someone's bathroom in one village and I later realized that it was sooo embarassing!:)

Nirmala 10-21-2016 09:37 AM

It's a great time sucker! I never play :( it would spoil my productivity!
