Speaking of the termed "Global Warming" subject...

Just wanted to open up the floor for thoughts...

Please do not comment if you do not actually read the study...

I am not surprised in the least. Systematically "adjusting" data to produce a desired result isn't science; it's advocacy.

The only ABSOLUTE in science is that anyone who thinks science is ABSOLUTE is a fool

Humans tend to rationalize and seek to skew data in a way that supports what they want to believe.

One of the best indications of more energy in a system is the noise factor - what is the extent of the ripple riding the waveform. The ripple increases as the overall energy available rises and diminishes as energy leaves the system. Systems with negative feedback to maintain current state will display increased ripple even while maintaining the baseline values.

Increasing number of people die in this part of the world each year due to increasingly hot heat waves. That's all the proof I need to see of global warming. No need to look at some Antarctic glacier far away.

Scientists have been corrupt for years.

Climate data has been altered.
Vaccine data has been altered.
Even "research" on healthy foods has been altered.

All in the name of corporate interests.

When you get huge sums of money involved, science goes out the window.

That is the same type of thinking that gave us Ancient Greek Mythology. ;)

Let's just say, everyone is talking about it not doing anything.

That's not really the case either. Whether by Government/EPA Regulations or by increased technology and company self improving processes there are A LOT of things that have been done to decrease pollution. At least here in the U.S.

Compare the 1960's and 1970's to now, or even the 1980's and '90's. Some was self or industry driven while other improvements were regulatory in nature or both. There is a massive difference between then and now.

A lot of which was done without causing major market inflation or sudden and/or massive consumer expenses.

It really comes down to who has more to gain from this. Corporations still have the most to gain by denying climate change when you think about it. It is no different than the whole Lead Poisoning thing in the 80s where corporations were denying the science in hopes of conitnuing their gravy train profits. Over time the facts provailed and corporations were forced to let go of their falsified claims.

So again, just see who has more to gain (or rather, more to lose) in terms of $money. Scientists have nothing to gain besides status among their peers...it certainly won't be $billions in profit.

But to be clear, science does make mistakes. And quality scientists (which are most) will openly admit it. To start making scientists look like the evil doers in society is a bad time. Science is what made the modern world. To deny that is to go back 2,000 years believing in fairy tales and magic.

@tyler00

Your post presumes that government, which makes and enforces the laws, doesn't gain from climate change FUD. They do.
Your post presumes that scientists don't gain financially from climate change FUD. They also do.

Science is the pursuit of truth. When a "scientist" alters or ignores data that doesn't support their conclusions, that's not science. It's something else.
There are a lot of scientists who claim climate change is real and it's man made.
There are also a lot of scientists who claim the opposite.

They can't both be right.

Don't kid yourself -- "Scientists" manipulating data to support their foregone conclusions are raking in many, many millions of dollars (perhaps totaling billions) of government-funded research grants.
