Reseller Host Recommendations

Hello,

I've been searching for a new company to open a reseller account with. Out of the myriad of offerings out there I've narrowed it down to two that match my needs:
ResellerNexus & HostGator (funny name but they're in Florida )
(I see that RealWebHost.net has some positive posts on your forums, so I may have a third company to consider now...)

ResellerNexus & HostGator both offer excellent reseller packages at very good prices. I've received good responses to pre-sales inquires and have read positive feedback from a few other users on both of them.

I'd like to know which of them do other users feel offers the best support and most reliable server uptime? HostGator's servers are located at "The Planet" in Texas. ResellerNexus servers are at the new Fortress ITX/DedicatedNow data center. Any data center preferences & why?

HostGator includes a free billing system "Whmautopilot" which they mention leases for $19.95 per month if leased directly from the manufacturer. This also sounds very enticing. Nexus is willing to install the same billing software if I lease it - very willing to help!

I'd like to hear from other users regarding your experiences with either of these two hosting companies. Can you recommend any other non biased host review sites that are not owned or sponsored by other hosting companies?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Since when is it Spam to seek advice from other users???
This is the Reseller hosting forum and I'm asking for real experiences from other users.

Have you hosted with the companies I'm asking about? If not I'll wait for a more intelligent response...

I can vouch for The Planets datacenter. They have a dozen 1gigabit connections going out of their datacenters using multiple carriers and all of its backbone network infrastructure is redundant. About the only things that are not redundant is the switch that your server connects to.

Thanks much for your input regarding The Planet's datacenter. I've read only positive posts about their center.

Does anyone have any experience with FortressITX/DedicatedNOW? I read that they recently moved their entire data center and some of their servers were offline during the move. I've been told by a host company using them that they have a larger and better facility now.

I know the hosting company I'm with has some good reseller plans: www.realwebhost.net - I'm going to be upgrading to a reseller plan soon - they can work out a good deal out for you.

Support there is top notch. Once they resolve their service issues, I'd recommend them highly.

Currently I have a VPS with ServInt.net. No down time or slow time in three weeks. Plus, I like having root access to my account. I can now set up my clients with hosting, register their domains, and install custom modules and software patches all by myself.

I suggest looking at www.hostdetective.net or other hosting directories. Then do research for each company to make sure they will give you what they offer.

Way to dig up an old post. Anyone else look at post time/date stamps before posting?

Everyone try it! I am also their reseller.
I have try to use their Three Month Free Promotion, it seems it is easy to use their control pannel, I also recommend CNOBIN.

And their support are quite excellent.

Anyone know if they have the traffic limitation?

Let me see here.....

I have read alot of posts here, ALOT, to get a feel of the community(I try to think of it as a community) where everyone has something in comman.

Now after reading enough posts I relized their are many levels of people in about the same areas some beginners, some novice, some professinals ect.,ect

Now if we are afraid to point someone in what we think my be a good direction( like posting alink to a hosting company or a reseller) then how can we truely help each other?

I know that in a forum like this you really don't want any one just comming in and
posting SPAM ect posts, but on the other hand you can always tell if it's spam

Example: you see thay have posted a link like this: http://www.greathostingcompany.com/c...cgi?ref=105329
Now look close at the link anything even close to this where a referal ID is used
is SPAM and the poster has something to gain. it's just plain SPAM

but a link like www.greathostingcompany.com is inocent they truly if they don't own it
are posting HELPfull links for anyone wanting to check it out.

But if they post www.greathostingcompany.com and say BILL sent ya thats SPAM too.

So if you really use your head(I know you have one) you will know what is SPAM and what is not, otherwise
you have only one other option, become a community afraid of SPAM and unwilling to help each other.(Which would make comming here a waste of time).

it's upto you.

Zcoder....
