Do you believe cheap web hosting?

I do not know whether you guys often receive some emails which recomended you some called cheap web hosting. Some of them may let you use their web hosting for half a month, and you have to pay if you want to use it after those period.

Do you guys believe these cheap web hosting? What is the reason you accepte them or refuse them?

I think you get what you pay for, if you pay nothing it's unreasonable to expect superior products/services.

I also hate having site downtime and hate even more having to uproot all my sites and reconfigure everything on a new hosts server. For this reason I've stopped messing around with shared services and moved strictly to dedicated.

I know that dedicated servers may be out of many peoples price range but all you need do is find 2 or 3 other webmasters who are sick of crappy hosting and then it becomes cost effective, reliable and most of all, NOT OVERLOADED.

If you are talking about spam emails - refuse all those offers, as they are obviously fake.

But still there are many hosts offering cheap - low cost - hosting of higher quality. Take MMhosting.com - average prices for the very huge feature-rich accounts, coupled with the great uptime, makes such hosts good place for investment.

You pay peanut, you get monkey.

I'm a full-time online marketer. It would be disastrous if there is too much downtime and if the support is bad.

So the price is not the only aspects you should consider when selecting a web hosting. The quality you should consider too.

For me, I will keep my eyes on those branded name web hosting providers' offer. I will very glad to accpet if they can offer cheap web hosting.

I pay what I consider to be a small fortune given my sites size however I now have completely reliable service with competent "In house" monitoring. I no longer have to worry about my sites spitting out error messages, slow to respond, offline or have my url hijacked and pointed to a bl00dy bird migration website for 2 days

Sorry, a bit of a rant but consider this as fair warning if your looking for cheap instead of looking for value.

That is the main problem i concern. We can not say that cheap web hosting means poor quality of web hosting, and expensive web hosting means high quality web hosting. But you pay what you get.

For the web hosting, i would like to pay more if it can offer me steady speed and good customer support. That persuade me if the provider can guranteen these.

There are too many factors which matter. Advertising via spam emails - is the sign of bad quality most of the time.

Also what is cheap? Fro everhy person this word means different amount of money.

As for me I know several companies which are cheap (as for me) and which are stable and trustworthy such as MMhosting.com or marblehost.com... These are small providers, but the quality of their services is high, unlike the price.

You got to take some risk once choosing a cheap web hosting. I had said before that cheap web hosting do not mean poor quality and bad support system. But as you guys know that cheap web hosting will not let your much freedom. For example, limited bandwidth, speed, and disk space.

It is ok that if you accept these limitation.

Everything also depends on what is meant by "cheap". There are companies which offere quality resourceful solutions for low cost. It is needed to get an information on the each company intended to be used. For instance, hostjava.net is rather quality and stable host offering cheap solutions for small and average java and php-based projects.

Not all cheap is good, but also not all are bad..

I think that in this situation better say affordable then cheap.
I would call services provided by espinda.com can be considered rater affrodable then cheap. Of course that do not cost a fortune.
I think also that customer reviews are very important part also. and what connected to the espinda.com they are very good ones

I think Hostgator is a cheap and worthwhile web hosting to be selected, because it value is more that its price.

As for me I do believe cheap hosting, say iwhic.com, hostdone.com and ncisp.net. Though these company provides low cost service but it's top-notch.
Support works perfectly well and their servers are fully redundant and stable.
