Question Free/cheap DNS service, and Email forwarding... ?

I hope this is the right forum...

I'm looking for:
Free/cheap DNS service, and Email forwarding... ?

...

Need inexpensive DNS service, and Email forwarding...

What Free or CHEAP but reliable suppliers would you recommend for
DNS hosting, and Mail forwarding, for small businesses?

Don't need hosting (already have website hosted at www.sitekreator.com)

Domain is already registered, moving from GeoCities to GoDaddy soon.

Need DNS Management (A records, Cnames, MX records...)
Need email forwarding, or MX records control for forwarding?
Don't need mailboxes, already have.

Looking at ... Free:

www.zoneedit.com
and
www.granitecanyon.com

also...

$19.95/yr :: www.easydns.com

http://www.easydns.com/dnsmanage.php3

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Why not pay $4.95 to $10.95 a month or under a $100 a year for hosting where you can modify all of these things yourself?

When you get something free the providers often feel since you are not paying you should not expect the best service. This allows them to change service, try new things, go down, etc, without risk of you bitching or changing (since it's free what do they have to loose).

I`m not saying paying guarantees you great service but it does give you grounds for complaints, and more times than not you get to talk to someone who wants your business.

Just my on 'free' services. You get more than you bargain for when you pay.

Discovery... when changing the state to "Parked" at GoDaddy, presto... got the Advanced DNS control panel...

Now that DNS control and Email forwarding is working OK, I am much happier with GoDaddy!

Domain registered at GoDaddy... DNS + email control at GoDaddy... Website hosted at siteKreator.com... Staff Email at Yahoo and Gmail.

AOK now!

Small business (tight budget) website...

$70/yr at SiteKreator.com for (business account) web hosting, but no DNS.

$20/year (with AT&T Yahoo DSL) for Email.

DNS (free with $8/yr. registration) via GoDaddy.

Problem solved, under $100/year!

Glad you got it solved, must be a very small business or one that doesn't value the pressence on the web to spend $100-$200 a year.

Small business web presence is just an "electronic business card + brochure" with a few bells and whistles. Owner can't justify more than $100 / year... for now.
