Affiliated cause you don't have to invest and if you don't earn it back then it all goes to waste.

About a year or 2 years ago, I was seriously considering getting a server off of serverbeach and resell it. But I changed my mind since theres too much competition.

I know few people are making money off of reselling but they are webdesigners and developers. If you are a designer/developer then its a good idea to get into reseller program. Instead of buying the domain or web hosting with another company why not use your own right?

Go with an affiliate program first, and if you start recieving some money from there, invest it back in to become a reseller. This way you will test the waters without investing, plus you will know the difficulty of selling hosting, and will also know a rough estimate of what will probably will be your advertising cost when you become a reseller and if you will be able to continue. Because I think when you become a reseller, you will pay a monthly fee to your host, and it would be a loss if you are not able to sell the webspace you bought.
Secondly, when with an affiliate program and advertising it, you will build some back links, which will later help when you become a reseller, or install your own servers!
Keep the reseller program in mind, but start with an affiliate link...

You could be a reseller and affiliate.The main deal it's to try and understand which helps better to earn money.Only choose the most effective and affordable programm and start!
