Well it depends on how you define "resell." Do you mean how many different hosts do you have reseller accounts from...or just...resell from? Such as a dedicated server, VPS, colo?

Anyway, my opinion is if you or you company is at the level of needing different sources of hosting for reliability and whatnot, you should have already moved beyond reseller accounts to at least VPSs or Dedicated servers.

To answer your question: 2
I have servers at servint and internap, but again, I am not someone so huge as to need many different locations/providers. It really depends on what you are doing and how YOU want to do it.

Hope this helps!

I think that people choose reselling from two different (or more) companies mostly because of security and uptime issues.

For someone with reseller accounts it's always good to spread things around even if your one account advertises unlimited sites. You have a single point of failure for all your accounts which is never a good thing.

If you really like a company just ordering more than one account works and simply request you be put on another server.

But from when I've spoken to some of our resellers they have 5 accounts with us 5 with another host and a few others with other hosts as well. Thinking about it some of them are pretty big and continue to use reseller accounts opposed to managing their own servers. But at the same time they specialized in niche markets so they'd rather focus on helping install scripts, doing coding and giving a helping hand to their local market.

I believe that most of customers who have accounts in different places do that because of security issues. IMO
