Being Number 1 in SERP

I think being your site listed in top 1 ranking has many disadvantages. One of them is your site is prone to duplicate content since more people could copy your site's content. There will be also some competitors who will try to use your site's techniques just to let you down..

But I think the advantages of being number one in serp over weighs its disadvantages. So I still want to get the highest ranking in serp and accept the risk. That's a business and has great challenges to face...

I will still aim to make my site be in top one ranking, because I know that a site may get the highest chances or percentage to be clicked and visited by potential customers. This is because most visitors prefer to visit those sites that are listed in the highest position in serp.

So what's your opinion about this.. Kindly share your views and ideas...

Certainly. And of course, the most important thing, conversion.

Not all number 1 converts real good. There are some keywords that is not competitive, but gives good conversion.

Being number 1, most specially in a very competitive keyword is really a great achievement...

Your are mistaken about the subject, we are talking about traffic not conversions.

Now, if you want to talk about conversions I agree with you that not all first position convert into sales it depends of keywords or keyphrases.

Conversions into sales do not depends or your positions on search engines but only give you more chance to sell.

If you sell something people don't like or the products are not popular or not good, you can be number 1 everywhere, you will not sell.

Will it bring traffic? Of course not, because no one search for that keyword. Ranking on a search term with high volume of searches is your way to tons of traffic.

traffic is useless if you didn't do anything to convert it to sales...

Of course, but the thing is how you will convert it to sales? If you have good content to your site, traffic may help you and by that there is a chance to convert the visits to sales.

being worried about having your content duplicated is understandable .... since you are number one there are a lot out there who's gonna pirate your site out..

To be number one in page ranking means you achieve your goal and purpose. You gained lots of traffics/audience. Your site is popular, and you should be proud of it. When your site is popular, you can address them your plans and businesses.

If your content is index'd by google first, then you dont have to worry about duplicate content, because google knows that you are the original author of that content

In theory, but you can be sure it is not.

I have seeing contents stolen many times, then the search engines will penalize you.

Google do not know for sure that the original is yours.

being on top means you are lucky...and you need make the most of it because you will never be sure how long you'll stay there.

that's not always the case, although your number one in some keywords you are not yet guaranteed to get a lot of traffic, it is only an advantage because many of the internet user's when they are searching for something on the net they only look on the first page of the search so if your number one there's a big possibility that they would click your site.

We both know that traffic may help our site especially for the businessmen whose hands on to an online site business. The higher the traffic, better chance to increase your sales and that's good news for the businessmen. Being #1 on SERP is stunning especially on your competitors. They may feel like they've stabbed by your site for having little chance to bring traffic to their sites just because you're on the #1 spot.

You can keep its positions no#1 ..as long as you will be on top.. that leads towards a heavy traffic to your website..
