that's a good additional info. you should also answer some questions not related to your site so that you can be helpful to others as well. so that you won't get banned.

If you spam it, it will ban you, and if you still keep that spamming on it will ban you static IP address and after that you cannot do the Yahoo Answers.

So be careful with what kind of answer you are giving, answers must be related to Question.

Using Yahoo Answers mainly for your "SEO techniques" will really make you look more like a spammer....

Based on my experience, answering questions to Yahoo Answer is not a good strategy, I agree with you that it will just look like a spam. But anyway, some say that it has a positive effect in yahoo search results.
