Links
I was wondering if why a site has only a few inbound links after being submitted to directory sites, article sites for 2 months, I mean is it normal for a site to have an inbound link that fluctuates. For example, in a day the inbound links goes up and then tomorrow it goes down and the next day it goes up again. I was wondering if this is normal?

what exactly are you referring to? traffic to your site or the number of backlinks to your site?
the way you said it, its very much of a traffic issue to me.

Yeah that's normal. But you must work hard to increase your backlinks. It is not fluctuating but that's the signal to double up your work. Try to post on "do follow" sites. It can boost up your backlinks for about a week perhaps.

directories and articles site could take up to more than 2 months to get your links and site approved and posted, and even after those things goes live in their sites, SEs would not get to them that fast, it may also take a few days. what are the other ways that you do for your link building anyways?

Link building takes time before your hard work will be paid off... Just continue getting backlinks and don't just concentrate on directory and article submission to increase your site's backlinks. Try also some other link building methods such as forum posting, social bookmarking submission (dofollow social bookmarking sites)..

Hello
It's quite common thing. Search engine bots crawls the updated information and the info from quality sites. So for example to day you have posted then that is updated information so search engines index it. Tomorrow search engine bot won't index that information. If the site is very good which contains the info then search engine again index the information and show it to the world.. Hope you are clear if not send me PM...I am happy to explanation.....

Backlinks can be established only when your submissions get cached and google relate your site with the postings. I think forums are the best source as they get cached very easily gets connected with our site's backlinks

#1 - It depends on the quality of the content and PR of the websites linking to you.
#2 - Sign up with Google Webmasters because the back links shown in Google are just the links Google is showing you. That fluctuates all the time and sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down.
