Best Keyword Suggestion Tool

Probably out here somewhere.

What's the best keyword suggestion tool and I guess the one that is the most accurate on number of searchs.

I've used the tool at Overture and gotten 25,000 hits on the same keyword Word Tracker showed 750 hits for?

overture tends to be inflated by rank checkers and other non legit traffic.

the best indication it ranking well and checking server logs

the second best would probably be running an adwords campaign for the given term (but it could be expensive)

the third best would probably be wordtracker

digitalpoint has a tool which compares overture and wordtracker results

I think I lost some brain cells over the weekend. I was comparing daily totals with monthly. Late night.

Is there a need to optimize for plural keywords or is the singular sense good enough?

you should optimize for all versions of relevant search terms with a decent search frequency.

I use www.digitalpoint.com/tools 's keyword suggestion feature. it includes both overture and wordtracker's data.
