It's very helpful for the long tail. But only helpful - it's not the key feature to influence your site's SERP.

so is the domain 245logodesigns.com just as worthy to my site as graphic3.net even though 245logodesigns is just a redirect?

or should i say would 245logodesigns.com a redirect be just as effective as it being the primary domain name?

Yes, having your major keywords in your domain do help in your ranking in most SE. But be sure also to fully optimize your site such positioning your keywords in your sites contents as well as those offpage optimization such as link building.

Keyword rich domain have some effect on search engine rankings as it gets highlighted as it gets highlighted when the search term is found in the URL. But the effect is nominal. After all it all boils down to backlinks

Post Yes..

Keywords, and Key Phrases can give you an edge. It won't be a determining factor, every little bit helps.
